yeah itā€™s so good.
im enjoying mm hunter and my mage again, itā€™s been 5 yrs since all my toons were fun at the same time
mage, hunter, lock, priest :scream:

Freddy has been loving his spriest. I may have been off on timing but we did a cloak/lifeswap and it still damaged me. Did they change that or was that never a thing or did I just suck at timing it? lol

I started playing my rogue about 4 weeks before I quit in 8.3 and logged back in to him on prepatch and havenā€™t been able to log onto anything else lol. I havenā€™t really even played rogue since mop and a few weeks in wod.

I have logged on disc, mw, hpal, and vdh for insta queues headless horseman. Disc is by far the most interesting class of those 5. MW seems like the same straightforward class its been all of bfa. hpal is even more melee pve oriented and it seems like it would struggle in pvp. Disc looks like itā€™s super fun.

I need to get off the broken rogue and try these other classes out.

Did you guys know that hunters are so popular in PvE raids?

I donā€™t know if Ion should be worried, but Ghostcrawler has returned to WoW and heā€™s been leveling different alts and offering feedback on the experience. Heā€™s also considering hardcore raiding in Shadowlands.

https://www.wowhead.com/news=318770/more-ghostcrawler-on-shadowlands-pre-patch-leveling-and-returning-player-challen

why would ion care about a boomer that hardly played the game when he was actually on the team

I donā€™t know why people care about Ghostcrawlers tweets now. At this point heā€™s no different than any other random person playing WoW.

Thereā€™s not much to worry about is there? I doubt they would just hand GC his old job back lol.

I do like seeing his feedback and little insight he sheds on how it was when he was there. However, I donā€™t think his feedback means much of anything other than self promotion and/or showcasing his love he still has for the game.

I do hope though that shadowlands captivates enough returning players like GC to have them stick around a while. WoW is better with more people playing it lol.

Itā€™s just wishful thinking. Most people will still tell you Wrath was the best expansion and the ones that will also get mentioned are others that he worked on. They forget how much they complained about him ofc but thatā€™s neither here nor there.

I still havenā€™t bought it and if I had to decide today whether or not I will Iā€™d not just be a NO! but a NO! that was preceded by a word that rhymed with DUCK. Iā€™m not saying I want GC back but I do want anyone else than what is there now. The direction of the game is just too well, quack quack quacked up.

Iā€™ll never forget his whole triage thingy for healers during Cata.

The beginning of Cata was so miserable for healers that they became more scarce than tanks.

The one thing I most miss about his era was the level of communication. That is something I find current Blizzard extremely lacking. I enjoyed the various tidbits we got from him in random threads across the forum. Beta experiences actually had back and forth. Design intention and ideals were explained.

Now weā€™re lucky to get a tweet. Unless youā€™re a moonkin or shadow priest.

I know we get those round ups every 3 or 4 months and infrequent video Q&As. Theyā€™re too far and few in between.

Holinka and Phalanx kept the communication torch going all through Warlords and for a lot of Legion on the PvP front.

Now thereā€™s a tumbleweed.

I miss the PvP Q&As. Even if you didnā€™t agree with the PvP devs, at least Holinka would explain what they were thinking, and further discussions could go from there.

Shadowlands was originally supposed to be released today.

And there is no more an ominous sign than that. If a ā€œbuy now, weā€™ll fix it laterā€ type company like Activision is delaying a major release, something has to be seriously wrong.

yeah something seriously wrong like your country being in a major pandemic, forcing them to work from home lmao.

among other things, united states is literally and figuratively been on fire this year.

they delayed it because it simply wasnā€™t ready because they worked from home.
ghost crawler moved to league and is disliked as much as he was disliked in the wow community.

9.0 is one of the most well received patches with the lvling revamp, squish, customization and class changes. shadowlands just needs good content to be good, simple as that.
however, the people that complain the most about this game never actually touch the content, fun fact. :cowboy_hat_face:

I will never forget jumping into my first dungeons on my Resto Druid in Cata. It was one of the most demoralizing experiences Iā€™ve had playing wow. I felt like I was DPS trying to off-heal.

I appreciated him willing to speak with people and share his thoughts on Twitter back in the day. Iā€™m still salty though about his stubborn assertion at the opening of MoP that ā€œyou donā€™t have to dailies hur durrā€ knowing full well that they had locked raid prep gear behind reputation.

The guild I was in would send out weekly ā€œprogress reportsā€ about the raid rosterā€™s reputation gains and if they felt like we werenā€™t focusing ā€œon the right ones.ā€

For almost any other company those would be valid reasons but to me this would be the type of excuse Activision would use to push crap out the door and say ā€œHey pandemic, working from home blah blah, be patient weā€™re working hard to fix thingsā€ and then release some store pets a couple months later. Free with a six month subscription.

Thereā€™s no way this is a matter of just dotting "i"s and crossing "t"s. There is something wrong they are trying to fix, something too big to get away with releasing now and given the history of the big gaming companies over the last couple years, that speaks volumes.

None of that is to say they havenā€™t gotten some things right, it certainly appears they have. I wouldnā€™t know ofc. as I havenā€™t even looked at retail anything this year. Not hiding that fun fact :woman_white_haired:. But there is certainly something wrong, they wouldnā€™t take the P.R. hit a delay brings for mere fixes.

So Iā€™m gonna wait, and watch, and maybe a couple months in Iā€™ll see if itā€™s worth it.

I did not like Legion, I hated BfA. Not gonna get burned 3 times in a row.

I agree with this, for Activision to okay a delay like this is an indication that there are still fundamental problems going on here. See also - not releasing the prepatch event alongside the actual prepatch.

Iā€™m going to disagree with Squeek and say this is Blizzard pushing back against Actidad and using the work from home excuse as the driving force.

Not gonna fault you for your optimism

But hereā€™s why I canā€™t bring myself to even hope thatā€™s a possibility: Activision has been moving in on Blizzard more effectively than China has moved in on Hong Kong. I donā€™t believe there is a ā€œBlizzardā€ anymore. They left to form a new company (godspeed to 'em too!) I donā€™t know what is left to stand up to Actidad as you put it
