It is surprising how they are listening a little better. Kinda refreshing too. You can’t help but wonder if blizz has taken back a little freedom from actiblizz and actiblizz finally realized they were bleeding blizz dry so to speak.
I was one of the people that loved horrific visions on launch. Loved em. I was mad at blizz for limiting how much I could go in there. Now I kinda just dread doing them. I really hope they find a way to keep torghast feeling fresh enough through the expansion. Horrific visions lasted about half a patch for me. Torghast is suppose to last an entire expansion.
Yea man. Once you learn the mechanics and get past the entry level pugs, m+ turns into a really fun part of the game. I enjoy trying to increase my raider .io score about as much as I enjoy increasing my pvp rating. Treating your teams like pvp and grouping with the same fun people over and over is really enjoyable.
It’s an addon/website that tracks your dungeon runs and scores you. The higher the keystone you run the higher you score. It has pros and cons to it but like all things the more you use it to focus on you the more respect you have for it.
Here’s your profile…
Here’s mine on my pally for example…
I’m missing a motherlode run and don’t have a score for it. I also need to get a better Ataldazar run in and constantly work on my lowest scoring dungeons to improve my score.
Just like pvp rating, its only toxic for the lower level pugs that gate keep because of it. The same ones requiring ahead of the curve to kill wrathion. With raider io you can see who bought a carry and who got there legitimately unlike pvp rating.
In pvp, Johnny can use his dad’s credit card and buy a rating and then use that achieve to only invite others with that achieve and gets a toxic mouth when hes the reason he loses and has no idea. Raider io you can actually look into people if you wanted to.
The game is much better with it than without. People who say otherwise usually don’t understand how raider io works.
I mean, the game has worked well for years without some arbitrary score determining who should be able to do some scripted content thats been out for 3+ years. Back when I actually did any kind of PvE, I just joined a…PvE guild and we ran raids/Heroics together.
But m+ didn’t exist years ago. It just started in Legion… Raider io is the first pass attempt at actually seeing who knows how to do a certain key level. Before m+ was introduced, the only way to get a high item level was to raid. Now there are multiple ways. Without raider io you would be stuck looking at someones item level as the only gauge if you should invite them or not which is the opposite of gearscore.
If my friends and I are pugging a 5th for a m+14, and a 478 dh applies with a 978 io 12/12H, 3/12M and has never timed a 12+, then an 470 enh shaman applies with a 1980 io 3/12H, 0/12M but has timed over 20 +15s… who do you think we should invite?
Because of raider io I didn’t invite a higher item level dh even though they are a tier above enh. But hey raider io is toxic amirite?
You have a very strong opinion about something you really don’t know much about.
Exactly. raider io is no where near perfect either. There’s some obvious flaws in the system. For example, untimed runs shouldn’t give near as many points as what it currently does. My score is wayyy too high for as many untimed runs counting. Its saying you at least completed it so here’s your points but it needs to decrease at a faster rate the further you go over time than what it currently does.
Armory shows highest timed/completed. Raider io doesn’t just show that, it also shows the number of dungeons someone has timed in certain key level brackets…
The information on those two players all shows on the addon for example. Also shows the how high of a key level they’ve ran for your specific dungeon.
Yea it is really helpful. Early this season the wife and I were pugging and listed one of our keys and I think the key level was a 10-11 ish. One dude applied and whispered me and said something along the lines of “hey I have never done a 10+ but I have watched a few guides on the awakened obelisks and understand how it all works. I won’t rage quit your key either and I have all the consumables.” I invited him and he did great. The guy had like 30+ 7-9 runs on his io so its obvious he’s spent time learning dungeons. I still have him on btag.
I’m pretty salty about the hunter changes in SL. I’ve clocked more hours on my hunter than any other class and it pained me to stop playing it in legion.
I’ve primarily played marksman with the occasional bm. So survival getting turned into melee didn’t really bother me. I dabbled in surv in wod but mm was my spec.
Legion castrated the class and then BFA came out and somehow made it worse.
I’ve given survival a fair chance this patch and there’s still so much wrong with the spec from a pve perspective that I don’t see how blizz is ok with it. I guess if they make one spec in each class competitive then they chalk it up as a win.
Fast forward to bfa, all they did to fix survival in pve was buff the crap talents no one used. MM looks to go from a green turd to a light brown turd that’s slightly less stinky. BM is still the most beginner friendly spec in the game with no depth.
Sorry. I’m just real salty at what they’ve done to my original main.
Anybody know of any premade groups going for Alliance BGs? Preferably epics, but I’m also down for rated or regulars.
My friends prefer sync or leveling bgs rn because we don’t have to gear our alts at all, but I want to abuse my gear for a bit while I get my alt army ready for Shadowlands.
I need to report honglangman level 60 night elf hunter from the deviate delight realm. He keeps getting into each WG battleground and just stands there afk without helping, and the player has full pvp epic gear which throws off the game matching hard. Please do something about this player thank you.
