To be fair though, every in game experience I’ve had with them in groups or random quest areas has been a positive experience. I think they have about 5-6 knuckleheads that are making them all look bad. One of them gave me a green loot piece randomly. Another helped us kill a big elite in the searing gorge cave. The latest encounter was one farming felcloth in felwood and he needed the boss npc for a quest. He waited for us to tag it and helped kill it along with all the other mobs in the area. I was walking through IF and one of them opened trade and gave me 60 mage water.
I joined world chat right after to see if something has changed and the same handful of names are there saying nasty stuff that I wouldn’t repeat if you paid me. I could be completely wrong but I think they just have a few really bad duds.
Yea until I encountered them in game, my view was really negative of them because all I’ve ever seen of them prior to in game encounters was the nasty world chat and the forums. A lot still remains to be seen from them though. They’ve supposedly been around since vanilla and have stayed together the whole time.
He’s obviously trolling and making a joke about that socialist convention lol.
What convention? Please don’t tell me it was on TV. I get asked once in a while at work “did you see that one commercial!?” and I’ve not watched TV in over 15 years.
Really just google/youtube ‘quick point of personal privilege’ and get ready to laugh and be sad for the next few hours.
EdIt: Regarding enclave, I’m starting to think I should redact my comment about just a handful of duds in their guild. Their notoriety is overflowing in the general classic now lol. Maybe they just have a handful of nice players that I’ve been lucky to encounter.
Yea I guess. It’s funny because of what it is and sad at the same time that there are enough of these people out there to make a convention. (Same for the other side) “Normal” used to have such a broad meaning. It just keeps getting smaller lol.
I was hoping it was. If that was serious, I’d have had a ball with that crowd. Just saying a bunch of terms together in sentences trying to sound like they’re actually “saying something.”

I grouped with one member yesterday doing the stromgarde badges in arathi. I even asked him how it was being an Enclave member with all this going on. He said it was fine and been with them for years. I think it’s more forum/chat drama than anything, but idk their history all that well.
I had good and one not so good experience with them so far but not much of either to form an opinion. One of my SPM guildies had a bad one but that was 3 members in a dungeon who were just plain awful. She knew nothing of their reputation and happened to mention it. Made me wonder based on their rep if they were purposely failing for some reason but that makes no sense. The core leadership may or may not be jerks but no reason to think everyone in the guild will be like that. Yet.
One fellow alliance barked at me for saving an enclave guy from a gank in ungoro. I played dumb to get his take on them and he said they are a self contained inner circle that trolls hard with no desire to ever befriend anyone on the outside of their circle and hoping they will ever befriend another guild or group of people is just wishful thinking. He compared them to The Saviors on The Walking Dead lol.
He went on for a few more minutes trashing them pretty hard and toward the end he guaranteed me that before classic is over with no one will group with them and they will repeatedly be kicked from groups or people will drop groups if they are ever in there with them. He said it forces them to make guild only runs and only strengthens their inner circles as as a result. He said he use to be a part of them and finally escaped their circle.

just let someone bark at me for doing something in a video game. I’m beginning to think the trash talkers are their own enemies. Like that thread you linked before (that got deleted, mind you) there was a Lock talking smack, but they weren’t even on our server.
