It’s essentially a popularity contest. Any MMO still functioning is generally very loved by it’s fans and the ones who didn’t love it left.

In wow that just doesn’t happen. We all sit here and suffer together hoping for a better experience next patch and rarely give any other mmo an honest chance. Most of us would blindly vote for wow only because we only play wow. So while it may be the most popular, winning this award doesn’t make it the best.
