I’m not in the business to prove anything, I know what I think of BfA and I know the two guilds I was a longstanding member of and had been on their raid teams for quite a while had dissolved. I saw my active btag list of a little over 70 players die off rather quickly.

IMO,

• Wqs being the only way to get rep sucks and is boring.
• Gating pathfinder behind reps suck
• Timegated war campaign feels terrible. Who even remembers or cares what happens when they make you wait 6 months in between parts.
• RNG on everything
• Classes feel bad
• No PvP vendors
• Islands are pointless and another RNG mess
• Warfronts are pointless except to grind a mog
• No ML for guild loot
• M+ is meh this expansion
• No raid tier sets and most of the raid gear looks ugly
• Azerite system is terrible
• The story is a mess again
• Gating allied races behind rep sucks

The list goes on.

BFA has its issues and they have been talked to death in the forums. If your not happy with a product it just better to leave now, cause no will listen and your better off playing something you enjoy.

I disagree. I have seen Blizzard implement ideas I’ve shared with them. They do listen. They just have to dig through millions of player feedback posts and that’s an enormous effort.

Some things are easy fixes. Some aren’t. Fixing a systemic design flaw that unravels months of development effort is not easy. So even though they knew azerite gear was a bad idea in beta there was no derailing that train before launch. Guaranteed our feedback has hit home and 9.x will be a better product for it. The true test will be 10.x. If the lesson is learned at all.

Of course nobody here can prove this.

However, most cases of review bombing occur because of some larger issue that draws the ire of a particular group or two.

WoW isn’t a new game that did something weirdly new. It didn’t do anything hugely controversial. BfA is just an expac. So I find it highly unlikely that big groups of people got together to review bomb it. There just isn’t any outrage factor to start such a movement.

All the outrage I have seen about BfA is because people just don’t like it. And that isn’t review bombing. That’s just plain old bad reviews earned the old fashioned way.

In an AMA they said they wanted to experiment with the Idea of making loot you get look like loot from the area.

Meaning that they wanted to make cool looking gear that looked like it came from BoD instead of just cool hunter/mage/warrior gear.

I tried to give you a sophisticated answer earlier.

Armor Sets in WoW has inherent limitations in them associated with the coding and how gear functions in this game. If we were to believe your belief that it’s still the same team, you have to recognize that things like armor sets and races have an inherent set of limitations associated with them due to coding. It’s telling the painters they must restrict their palette and use a specific set of tools, whereas in other areas there is boundless freedom because there are less limitations.

They’re afraid of giving players too much or too little of something, and they’d rather be conservative because they can always add something later, instead of overbuffing and taking away.

That shouldn’t even be a question, the game is complete dog. The classes are in the most dog state they have ever been. The games rewards and accomplishments are meaningless. The game is so beyond dog I don’t even understand how Blizzard manages to make it worse with every patch, honestly at this point this dog company is actually surprising me with how worse the game gets by the day.

BfA is really bad imo. After 8.2 dropped I cancelled my sub the next day since I pretty much played through all the content worth playing through already (again, imo). I decided to give final fantasy a shot and oh my god it’s terrible. I didn’t even make it out of the first expansion. I spent hours literally teleporting back and forth just to talk to npc’s. There is so much dialogue and so little gameplay.

Moral is just because something is rated low or high, doesn’t mean it’s bad or good. It’s just like, your opinion man. Play what you want.

I just came back 2 months ago from a 3year break and yes BFA is prob the worst expac I’ve played. This new patch, horrid! Log on for like 30 mins a day now. Super zzz! Oh well, they’ll fix it next patch!
