Half the threads here aren't constructive. Let's take a look at the threads where people are literally just talking nonsense. The ones where people are oh yeah, talking nonsense... and the other ones? Yeah talking nonsense.

There has been mountains of good feedback during beta and alpha to whats wrong with the game. Its been ignored. I have see a great bit of good critical feedback. You just dont want to see it. You say GD is a cess pool because people have different opinions other then your own?
I swear this game is the only one that has players that hate it, but refuse to just quit. If the expansion is boring for you, get a refund and come back in 2 years.
Nah. It is very common in games with long term players, like MMOs. People play for a long a long time. They don’t want to give up on that.
I didn't play WoD but BfA has been the worst expansion in my experience playing WoW ( started in WotLK). I don't want to log in and play because it is just boring and tedious.
If some of you like it, more power to you. But my opinion is that they've destroyed their game to the point it's not worth playing.
you can give up on korean mmo's where the grind is ridiculous.. where a mob at certain high levels gives you 00.01% exp each.. but it has a catch a pay to win system so it kinda becomes into "I spend so many paychecks here.. quitting would be bad"
just paying attention to see if people have the same feeling I do, and I've noticed something about the people who like v dislike

And I think i can see why. The Horde leveling experience is ... boring and mostly irrelevant.
we got a troll expansion that is kind of meaningless.
the lead up to BfA has all been this epic war of Horde Vs Alliance. We got this amazing dynamic between Sylvanas and Saurfang. And then the expansion starts...
and we're on an island helping with a troll civil war. it's ultimately, irrelevant. There's no feeling of relevance to the story.
I'm not enjoying the levelling experience so far myself because ultimately I DON"T CARE about the story line. it feels completely disjointed from the actual lead up to the expansion. Where's the war? where's the battle? i've done nothing but deal with troll civil war now for 7 levels. Azeroth isn't in the lurch, in fact, its almost like we forgot about the war completely.
Going to have to jump on my alliance characters and seee if it's any different. But I think thats why so far, BfA questing at least feels completely phoned in
I think that is probably because we just came off a leveling process with no hook. We haven't gotten new spells or a new talent row in two expacs now. I think even if they gave us little leveling skill buffs like in WOD, it would have been different. You knew you would get some little tweak to an existing spell every other level or so, so it gave you something to look forward to rather than just getting a higher level number and becoming weaker. There is no incentive or reward to leveling now except to be able to do end game content at max level.
Also, most of the things they give us now aren't even new ideas, just recycled ones they took away from us at various points of the game. Sometimes I feel like they don't add new abilities not so much out of a need to keep the game from becoming too complex, but because they are just out of ideas.
Legion had all the strategizing of how you would pick your weapon traits earlier out, and then later, the crucible. Especially the first part, it really kept you engaged for awhile in powering up. Azerite Gear is comparably, very flat and the powers aren't interesting or compelling.
I liked the writing for the zones, I found the quests to have a lot of charm, but also some of them had poor drop rates and on repeat, just stupid mechanics that are going to annoying me (If I really have to break 20 eggs, why do 4 windserpents come out of each one? That's ridiculous and they are so slow to kill that 20 eggs just is a lot for a world quest.)
Things are gated in pretty absurd ways too, someone sends me a letter telling me that they want me to take this pet off their hands, but then I go there and they want 150 pet charms for it? Why? You said you don't want this creature and I helped you. Before you would just send me the pet. It's because Blizzard needs you to play longer per day even if that doesn't charge more to your subscription.
At least those are some of my gripes, since it is so close to leveling and that being kind of a drag, I could see it killing the hype. They need a better hook next time.
The world created is gorgeous. The attention to detail is phenomenal and the writing is really brilliant. It's really immersive. I love how they have a tighter, more focused storyline and setting. It's still serious but not all 'save the universe'. The art is brilliant, the skyboxes for example are impeccable. Your art team are marvels.
Cons:
The gameplay is dog !@#$. Blizzard has %^-*ed nearly every class sideways across the board, from skill puning, to moving baseline skills to traited options, to archaic and outdated, un-fun mechanics (mob daze and dismounting, resurrection sickness) your complete lack of direction when it comes to class design to this joke of world environment scaling.
I am simply not having an enjoyable time playing this. Legion was great, not sure why I don’t like this one but I don’t. :(
because is a reskin of legion, and the things that botter you but meh legion is finishing and we are moving on are still here in the same !@#$ing way, Legion is geting realy realy long and boring..i mean Bfa.
I don't like how everything is rep locked or hidden behind it. Like, I'm probably never going to play King's Rest because I'm not going to waste my time doing WQs or rep grinding. I have other games to play that are more fun or can keep my interest over time.
This entire expansion is just going through the motions. No innovation, no surprises. Islands are a disappointment. Dungeons are very forgettable. Feels like I get weaker the more I play.
I've never been this bored this quickly. This whole thing is a boring retread so far.
We're just shy of 2 weeks into it. I think it's a little soon to call BfA a bad expansion. That said, there's a lot of balancing problems with it that I'm still holding some hope blizz will address. I also think it was released far too soon.
