With the retcons to Forsaken culture, it’s time to remove this line from NPCs and replace it with “Protect the living.”

Even the retcons between classic and BC has them going from being ‘evil’ barely tolerant of others to being ‘let’s be friends cause we red’.
Thankfully the novel lore was still pretty good atleast until the Gathering. Haven’t read past that.

I miss the old Forsaken storylines and history. They’ve really effed it all up.

Past events are not changing, they’re not being eliminated, the Forsaken as a race are moving in a new direction though, under new leadership.
This happens quite often, both in video games and the real world, I’m surprised folks aren’t seemingly able to grasp this.
To be totally fair, one can beware something while also protecting it. Recognizing that the living might not be fond of the Forsaken, and informing people to “Beware the living” doesn’t mean they don’t wish to also protect the living.
Although I find this whole thing involving Teldrassil to be wonky.
