Better Beastmen

Eh they probably wanted to be a bit different than Warhammer Fantasy.

Unfortunately, I don’t make dupes of classes and am pretty set with what I have now, except for my Human DK. He’s getting race changed next sale.

Plus, Dracthyr are the only ones that can be Evokers, so I have to keep it that in order to have all the classes.

Because Blizzard likes to appeal to a certain community. Which you can’t blame them for, seeing as they went to great efforts to cull out any appeal to another community by putting in fruit bowls and removing ‘damsel’ from the english language and such. They gotta try to appeal to someone

We just need more options, period. Not more of the same (ie… 3rd dwarf option)

Stopped at “cultural appropriation”. Culture is meant to be shared.

What’s the end game for people like you? Indian people only do Indian things? Native Americans can’t dress like samurai? Japanese can’t role play as medieval knights?

It’s the most racist nonsense I’ve ever heard.

If that’s your perspective, good for you. I don’t care if you share. I don’t care if people who want to share with you, do so.

Some of us have to care because it’s our culture. Taking from others is considered impolite. I have no say over what anyone else does.

And I especially don’t want anyone to think that I think Native Americans are cows, or are like cows in any way. My culture has a history of insulting other cultures, so in my culture, it’s considered polite to walk wide.

Of course they can. I can too, I just shouldn’t. Whether others should or shouldn’t is up to them, their culture, and their history.

You know that Greeks (among other cultures) also used totems, had the latromantis (basically a shaman), and Taurens are based on minotaurs, right? Not sure Tauren are as Native American based as you think.

Yes, they should. We should all find the best parts of everyone’s culture and learn to appreciate and celebrate each other. It’s cultural appreciation, not appropriation.

Thankfully xenophobes like you are a minority.

I’ve never once lost a wink of sleep over a Japanese company creating an Italian American plumber as their icon. It’s pretty awesome, if you ask me. Cultures should be celebrated.

Blizzard shouldn’t cater to groups with degenerate behavior.

Worgen went from terrifying creatures of the night, to tea-todaling, top-hat wearing victorian aristocrats.

And of course they’re in perfect control of their bestial form. Just to make sure everything interesting about a werewolf is completely and totally snuffed out.

But it’s okay to have our own culture too. And mine says it’s impolite and borders on stealing. So I can appreciate from a distance without wearing their culture like a costume, and without telling others what they can and cannot do.

I watch a lot of anime. I’m never going to dress up as an anime character. This is still appreciation. My culture just says it has to be distanced, and I’m allowed to respect that as long as I don’t force it on others.

Speaking of anime, Japanese use cultures from around the world for it. Look at One Piece. Main character Luffy is Brazilian. It’s huge in Brazil too.

You’ll never dress up as an anime character because you’re not Japanese? I could not imagine living under constant racial neurosis like you. What a miserable existence.

Good for them. Like I said I don’t get to tell them what to do.

Cultural appropriation is a set of rules in some sad individuals imagination.

That’s like me saying I’d never dress up as a Final Fantasy character even though they’re predominately white lmao

That’s where the ‘RP’ part comes in.

Yes, exactly, just like all other forms of politeness.

What people get wrong is that you don’t get to tell others who aren’t inside that system of politeness, what to do.

I’m choosing not to do that, because I care about the feelings of others. In this case it’s not the Japanese who will be offended, but the other people in MY culture who will be. Caring about the feelings of others is not a neurosis. It’s politeness.
