It’s legit, Don’t worry, I have clicked the “Download” link in the email I got and reported back so no one else had to do it. It will take you to an official Blizzard secure download site.

it seems that the emails are not synchronized exactly with the timing of your launcher showing the stress test. Have patience and you will be rewarded! I promise.
I wish I had the sanity to ignore classic till it came out
a little FYI for anyone with questions about your account. When you launch the game from the launcher it automatically logs you on. If you log out and go back to the login screen and type in your account info, it will not work. Also leaving both Account name and password blank also will not work. The only way to log in is by relaunching the game from the launcher.
people complaining about stress test only going to level 5 and for 2 hours reminds me of a machinima where the guy is like “You think your too good for this mace?” then the other guy replies “No But a sword would have been”
Someone else mentioned if its not showing up in the drop down menu to download the ptr. I can confirm this worked for me.

yes once it finished downloading the ptr i closed the launcher out and reopened and it was there

something to keep ya busy if you havent seen it yet. every blizzcon in which the red shirt guy showed up to grill the blizz devs about stuff they either got wrong in the lore or created gaping holes in the map or created questions about how the map is laid out and on and on. this was every blizzcon from 2010-2017. some of this is actually funny

Ummm no. Just no. PTR is the PTR. If you click download to that… .you will get the PTR.
If it popped up AFTER you d/l PTR… it’s simply lucky timing. You do not have to have the PTR listing to get the Stress Test listing.
If you have beta and or stress test it will say: Beta & Stress Test Wow Classic in the “In Development” section of the drop down account list.
