Beta Known Issue - learning professions

We’ve just added this to today’s Known Issues update, and figured it was worth calling out separately:

  • Testers may become stuck in a state where they are unable to learn professions from Prefessataur.
    • In this case, seek out a profession trainer to learn your profession, and then go back to Professataur to receive your max level recipes.

well there is something wrong with Alchemy atm unless it’s not suppose to be tested to level naturally 1-600 in beta. For those that may not know at 525 you have to go to a alchemy trainer to learn and make a zen stone trinket and learn the master’s healing and rejuv pots to make to learn the rest of the panda recps. well so far in beta I’ve made over a combination of 350 pots and 15 trinkets and haven’t learned the first recp from panda in the beta. So not sure if the discovery aspect is turned off or bugged but curious and why I’m leaving a reply here in case the bug reports haven’t gone thru. to bring awareness of this fact. It seems every other profession that gets trained patterns are working just fine but alchemy’s discovery is broken right now. I can say that with confidence being I just made 60 more master’s rejuv pots just to see if it may have been possibly worked on or looked at being I’m sure there are those of us that are curious how often the new recp’s will proc once panda goes live. I mean from what I’ve been told you can talk to the big guy and get insta 600 alchy but kinda defeats the purpose of what I’m trying to test.

Well, I just heard about going to the Big Guy to further my Alchemy recipes but as you said it defeats the issue of “Beta” testing professions. Its very frustrating when you are trying to learn and they add these fake NPC that wont be there in real game. Also there is no progression at Halhill Ranch esp in the garden.

how do bugs like this keep happening with a game that was totally polished 10 years ago?

can you guys stop messing with things, like lfr, and just give us the actual game we’re here to play.

Because today’s technology is not the same as it was 10+ years ago? What kind of question is this brother?

I genuinely think that guy might be some kind of bot. His whole post history is just complaining about bugs existing in a beta test and doesn’t seem to understand how programming works in general

lol… “technology”.

nothing about “technology” has changed to a degree that would cause the volume and variety of bugs that are on display.
