Well it should survive rage induced battering and smashing while not damaging the user at the same time , so maybe something with carbon fiber would do it
I have a razer but Iām too lazy to get up to verify its model (Iām the couch in the living room computer is back in the office) but itās mechanical thick and feels sturdy. It does the rgb thing to but Iām actually not a fan of lights on my keyboard.
It like it a lot because it feels like it could take a small amount abuse (though I take care of my things).
I have the exact same keyboard. The Corsair K55 has been great. but takes a bit of maintenance. You have to clean the keys. The Space bar has a mechanical metal bar and a little dab of lubricant should fix the squeaking problem. A tiny bottle of lubricant at the underside where the metal is attached to the plastic should stop that squeak.
There are only a few keys (Seven in total) made like this on that keyboard. They are the [SPACE], both [SHIFT], both [ENTER] keys, and the [INS] and [+] keys on the Numpad on the right side of the keyboard. This makes it a total of Seven keys that have a metal bar in the depression of those extra-large keys. The rest of the keys can be popped off and cleaned very easily. You usually have to do this just once a year and it takes about 30-45 minutes to clean the whole keyboard (probably less).
Make sure you pull up a virtual 101 keyboard on your screen so you place all the correct keys where they belong do not transpose them and type weird words later. LOL
Taking off those extra-wide keys and putting them back on is a real PITA (pain in the a**). If you can avoid removing the extra-large keys and lube the mechanism then do it as getting them back in is not easy. If you flip the keyboard upside down and over a rag (on the ground, your desk, or over a sink) and squirt a dab of lubricant where the metal bars touch the white plastic you will be good to go, and no squeak!
I also have an Azio MGK1, but that thing is a completely dust magnet.
I absolutely agree. Clackity keyboards are the way to go!
Honestly, in the realm of keyboards that people are going to find at department stores or at the top of the list on Amazon and suchā¦
I donāt think it really matters.
Not for a Keyboard.
If you want the clicky clacky, just make sure itās a mechanical keyboard.
If you donāt want the clickly clacky, make sure itās not.
And thatās gonna be like 90% of the consideration anyone actually needs.
All the Macro Keys and Touchscreens and Media Buttons and Wireless options are largely superfluous junk you donāt need for anything and will probably ignore if you end up with a keyboard that has them.
The āfeelā of any given keyboard is like 90% in what kind of keys they are (chiclet vs standard vs mechanical, I guess?), rather than brand vs brand, and itās all entirely personal preference.
So unless youāre super deep into mechanical keyboard nerddom treating them as projects with the lubing and custom switches and stuff, just go get a keyboard. Maybe it ends up being a $12 basic thing from Best Buy. Maybe itās a $225 wireless RGB Gaming Mechanical Keyboard. Itāll surely cover whatever you needed from it.
My guy dont spend 50 bucks or more on brand names. You can get a GOOD LED mechanical keyboards on Amazon for half that. I have one ive been using for 7 years now.
The one you already have. Same for best mouse.
I agree and nowadays it seems like the less known brands build better items for less.
