Start with the Christmas Special then go watch something like BSG or The Expanse.
For just the movies? Go reverse release order. Then you get to see a terrible series of movies gradually become amazing.

The best way to watch them is the original trilogy (not special edition’d).
And then none of the rest because they’re all terrible and don’t exist in my headcanon.

Not true. Palpatine gets a happy ending. Good old Sheev Palpatine. I love him. He’s so god damn goofy. Such a fun villain.

If you’re going to punish yourself that thoroughly, you really do need to include the Jar Jar scene in Attack of the Clones where he proposes the bill to give Palpatine unlimited power to create what ultimately becomes the Imperial Starfleet and Stormtroopers…
God, I remember that horrible time.
We had a VHS player, as most people did. So we rented a movie once and got all the way home:
Though it was in a VHS case, the movie inside was BETAMAX. The video store was already closed by the time we got back, so basically our entertainment was RUINED.
