Best use for a horde 5 man premade in AV?

Exploiting is against the rules.

There’s a lot of potentially good things a coordinated 5 man group could do, depending a bit on comp.

  1. Kill Bal - she’s slow, but if you interrupt her a 5 man team can probably do it without too much difficulty, and it’d be slow but you’d free up the 35 others.

  2. Slow Zerg - couple mages, warlocks, hunters, or even warriors can really slow down a zerg big time and get them to dismount. Hunters could frost trap and mages could AOE to soften them. You’d need several more groups to really do major damage but one group of 5 could do a lot of harassment.

  3. DB Aid Station - backdoor and snag it so people can start rezzing up north.

  4. Backcap crew - In games where Alli is slower and tries to grab IBGY, they can grab SHGY (if it’s not grabbed at the start), SFGY, and if the zerg moves south, IBGY and any towers. Alli won’t leave more than 5-6 in a given tower, waste of personnel, so a good team of 5 can probably retake them.

  5. Drek room defense. If you can stop the Pally pull or even if not if you can slow them sufficiently to help them get wiped (you’ll need help on the latter of those).

  6. Consolidating gains. Had a game last night when I died trying to defend SHB, got stuck at the IBGY choke due to Alli zerg there, and the entire O, all about 15 of them, kept taking something, leaving one person there, and moving to the next thing, only for 2-3 ally to kill that guy, and retake the spot. Offense had to restart like 3 times because they KEPT DOING IT.

Killing Bal and then picking off LTs/Cmdrs is probably the best use of a 5 man group. They could get all of them in probably under 10 minutes and that frees up the other 35 to do other, more important things. A single 5 man group could probably get all the NPCs in mid by themselves.

Tbf I don’t think queuing at the same time to get in a BG with friends/premades is an exploit. You already know every horde and their mom tried.
