Best tank in SL?

They actually don’t mention covenants at all in regards to Disc. They basically say Disc is good for the reasons Disc is always good, dps without sacrificing healing and effective health increase for the raid.

It’s clickbait garbage that means nothing at this point, and still won’t mean all that much later on.

Why.

That’s your opinion.

It’s literally not. Tuning of specs, covenants/soulbinds/conduits, talents, legendaries, and even the raid/dungeons themselves will continue to go on for at least another two months. These are never accurate, history has proved that time and time again. All it does is push silly people to feel pressured to play a “strong” spec, then become upset when balancing drops them.

So at best you’re naïvely spreading it, at worst maliciously doing so. Either way, why.

WARNING

This RAIDING tier list is NOT FINAL — It will CHANGE and be UPDATED as often as necessary to account for tuning and balance changes (before and after the release of Shadowlands) and new tiers of content.

ive played prot pally on the beta it feels so clunky with holy power it completely turned me off to prot. i dont think this holy power is a good fit for prot.

Yes.

This is not a new warning.

And not only do sites rarely actually update, even if they do so, is someone going to actually come back?

Return visits to something like this are pretty low percentage.

You still haven’t answered why.

Shows updates in the changelog :man_shrugging: I figure they’d update as often as is necessary

I wouldn’t know, never maintained a page like this before so I couldn’t say what the stats are for people returning.

Because information is the ruler of all things  I don’t understand the why question? OP asked what the best was a raider of the #2 guild in the US posted a list, I figure that’s relevant.

Actionable information. That can be understood and broken down, for some specific purpose.

You posted a list, that gives no greater information, has horribly collected data, and is completely irrelevant to the timeframe the question was asked for use in.

So you didn’t even apply thought.

One day I’m going to find out how you guys know things, were you there as he collected the information?

I don’t know how this applies, the testing was doing in SL OP wanted to know the best for SL. It’s the only information we have at the moment, unless…you have a better resource from a more qualified person

But when SL actually launches and we have logs then I can just point people to WarcraftLogs like I normally would.

For most of BfA, Brewmasters outnumbered all other tanks combined for Mythic raiding. Tanking hasn’t been that lopsided since vanilla.

Here’s how they garner the information.

They take logs from people testing the raid.

Testing the raid means wiping. More wiping than killing, usually intentionally so as to continue testing.

There’s an incredibly small number of players playing the beta. Certainly not hundreds of thousands, much less millions. Which means the sample sizes are incredibly small.

Lastly, there’s the issue of popularity and further testing. A spec like destruction or affliction will see plenty of testing. Something like sub or survival might see a dozen testers, if that. There’s simply nowhere near enough data. Then there’s people testing alternative talents, conduit/leggo/covenant/soulbind combinations, testing out timings and adjusting playstyles.

Now let’s ignore that many, many of the new systems are bugged, or otherwise not working.

Do you even begin to see the problem with the data yet.

First; yes it has.

Second; popularity does not equate to capability.

Thirdly; no, they didn’t.

You’re still spreading crap, years later, and still being wrong. Do you ever get tired of it, Tewa? They still use you like a bad joke in Dreamgrove.

The better source of information is never not, play what you find enjoyable. Tuning isn’t finished until mythic week, if that. If you’re that worried about playing what’s best, have multiple characters ready. If you’re not willing to do that, it doesn’t matter that much to you.

I remember S1 of BFA blood dk was pretty top tier for mythic+ and warriors were garbage (ignore pain on gcd I think). Not sure if I’m missing something but iirc it was because bonestorm was uncapped and will of the necropolis was 35% instead of 30. Other than that they were pretty mid to low tier. I wonder how it’ll change throughout the expansion.

No, because that’s all there is.

That’s cool unless someone says “what’s the best”

Then that’s when we’ll be sure but for now, we can only go off what we have

Talk to OP

Something being the only source of data does not mean it’s not worthless for use as data.

How is that beyond you.

If someone asks what the best is, you calmly explain it doesn’t matter to a player like them, and that there is no real answer to that question regardless.

You have nothing to go off of. You have, no information, that is actionable or worth going by. You have nothing.

It’s worth is your opinion

I have what the #2 guild is providing

It’s almost like they get paid to spread it, and use their status to make people think it’s worth anything.

Still not using your head.

Worth is an objective thing. This is not a matter of opinion.

Got any proof of that? Bank statements?

That also sounds like opinion

…is this a joke.

Why do you think people work for IV/WoWhead.
