Wow, thanks for the info. Ive recently been getting into Delves but low level Brann is an absolute joke. I just pick whatever spec and use him as bait. It made Delves a slog and not fun. Ive been figuring out how to kill the end Delve bosses independent of Brann since he dies all the time at low level anyways. I dont know if i want to beat my head against the wall 50+ times just to level an NPC that i dont factor in that he MIGHT be useful, especially now knowing i can only level him in bountiful delves, that need 400 coffers to make keys for the end chest? Sounds simple enough…
and ppl complain about pvp gear grind??
This is the tragic weakness of Brann and pretty much everything else in this game. It is 100000% not designed for new players, it’s designed against them honestly.
Never crossed my mind to go in as a tank, I have always done delves on my Ret paladin.
Boo on me!
I’ve been doing them as Brewmaster out of boredom. Complete cake walk, I don’t even think I press a defensive other than Celestial Brew but that’s because you have to press that for Master of Harmony, which feels really weird. I don’t like pressing buttons that act purely as buffs, it feels so weird.
If you’re undergeared or just not great at a class, tank spec is the easiest way to get 8-11 done. Once you get gear and/or get more proficient at a dps spec you can clear those pretty easily also. I don’t heal in delves since the initial tank Brann nerf, so I can’t speak to whether that is easy or not. With Brann’s AI being awfully dumb this season for some reason, I’d venture a guess that healing may not be very fun with him going scitzo on pulls.
You healing while Brann tanks is the most suicidal, masochistic thing you can do in this game. Literally just set him to DPS. He still takes aggro. Literally no point having him as tank spec while you heal, he will die every single time because you don’t do enough damage to kill the packs.
It would be like doing a dungeon with 4 tanks and a healer. Can it be done? Yes. Does anyone want to? No.
This.
Any tank spec will easily clear T8+ delves, even if you’re undergeared for it.
Should definitely try prot pally. Comes to a point where you can be clearing delves in a handful of total pulls.
Easiest DPS I’ve found is Demo Warlock with Brann as healer until 680ish Ilvl, then as a tank. With Brann pulling the mobs off of your felguard it dies less often in the higher tiers and you don’t have to worry about anything. A healthstone and your good.
Second easiest for me has been Frost Mage with Brann tank…burst down everything you can then kite what gets away from Brann…if Brann goes unconscious you kite as long as you can, iceblock, let Brann recover as tank…repeat. Same goes for Fire Mage…burst is better, but you don’t have the slows that Frost has, so mobs can get on you if you’re not careful.
3rd is Disc Priest with Brann Tank (haven’t tried Shadow, probably just as good) keep atonement up, be patient…everything eventually dies.
Finally got Infinite Delver (1000 delves) today…whee.
Have fun y’all
Surv hunter is pretty good with healer brann. Your pet tanks, you do big aoe dps, lust for the boss, immune and fd just in case…
hunter is a cakewalk no matter what. if you have a hard time at any point you can go BM and it’s all the pet’s problem. as MM I just md stuff onto healer brann.
never had an issue doing t11 on day 1 of season
BM Hunter is a healer disguised as a Hunter though. You’ll understand what I mean when you get in an 11 with one.
Although BM was no where near as good as it is now when I played it in Season 1.
Tank Brann + prot Warrior is the best combo for an easy mode experience.
Aegis + Hatarang is the best curio combo by far.
Healer with tank Brann is super slow, I’d never recommend healing a solo Delve.
For me, frost mage with DPS brann = ultra fast clears.
Take your outlaw and spec for perma tricks in Trickster and put it on brann, pretty much faceroll
If your wife just got a new WoW account, you are the luckiest man in the world. Take her to pizza and a beer!
New account and new to delves. Brann will be new. Have her check the ilevel requirement of the delve before entering. I’d choose BM hunter for a new player, I’d put Brann as healer. And I run those delves! Let her find her favorites and run them again. Just know that Brann has to catch up and that will take some play time and that is perfect for learning the class, a whole bunch of questions will come up. And you are watching and encouraging her – this is heaven sent, man. Good luck.
That extra action button that zooms you through mobs is stronger than you think.
I think my top three most successful are protection Paladin, windwalking monk, and druid.
Tank: Prot Warrior
- I’ve heard people say this spec isn’t good for reasons, but I can comfortably do T11s and take quite literally zero effective damage in pulls using DPS Brann. If she’s just starting out, Healer Brann and Prot Warrior would be godmode and all she’d have to do is keep Ignore Pain up
Healer: Disc Priest
- Disc is one of the harder healers in raids, but in 5-man content or below? Just slap Power Word: Radiance and blast. In Delves? It’s brainless, especially as Voidweaver. Just bubble Brann before a pull, take the talent that extends Atonement by 3 seconds per Smite and Mind Blast, then Smite/Void Blast until the cows come home. If she takes damage herself, bubble herself and Brann then rinse and repeat
DPS: Destro Warlock
- AKA the ‘haha chaos bolt go brrrrr’ spec. Rain of Fire for AoE, Chaos Bolt for ST. Tank Brann and Voidwalker as backup is a can’t-lose scenario, and Warlock has incredible defensives with short CDs if she’s directly attacked
This is when she’s just starting out. Once Brann has some levels and she gets a ranked-up Battered Aegis, Tank Brann and any DPS spec is a no-brainer, especially at T8 delves.
My ret alt and my Havoc DH have zero trouble with 11s with Brann healing.
Marksman spec with an aoe build and healer Brann
