Best Internet for Classic WoW?

Get Google Fiber 1000 fiber.google (.) com/internet/ for 1000mbps down and 1000mbps up.

I suggest a 2-ply minimum. start with 3 squares and work up from there, also more than one poop sock incase you don’t get a break before the next eruption.

Pretty much any broadband is way more than you need. Even just 5mbps is plenty. It is latency (ping) that determines how responsive your game play will be. You can google ‘ping test’ and find a number of sites that you can use. Pick a server in LA or Chicago (that’s where the Blizz data centers are) and test ping. You will want to choose the location that gives you the best, lowest, number. It will be in milliseconds (ms) and anything under 70 is very good. Under 50 is great.

Thats…slow

During Vanilla I had around 280ms latency…maybe if I try Oceanic servers…

Dial up obviously

Well the worst thing you could do with regard to your router is going wireless to your gaming PC. Depending on how far you are from your router, the wireless connection will be slower than a wired ethernet cable.

I did y leveling with satellite the first time through. 5k-9k ping was typical.

LFM ilvl 25 ping. Must know how to restart internet.

Google doesn’t need to know any more about me. Thanks anyway

I have 1gb internet. I am not sure I can handle anything. I tried to upgrade to AOL 7.0 but they keep hanging up on me.

It’s probably impossible for them to know anymore when they already know everything.

Glass half full

They’re practically omnipotent

do a tracert to the blizzard server you would be playing. Here’s how you do it https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7870
