cata elite sets was absolutely the best across the board unless you played a warlock or rogue (ugly af).

MoP had a few bangers like s12 dk but imo was mostly bleh

WoD s16 was the absolute peak of elite sets (first season) imo. For some reason this is the only season where instead of just a straight recolor of mythic raids they actually did new shoulders/helm/belt to transform the set. S16 elite warrior is still one of the most iconic sets of all time pvp wise. The rest of the expansion’s sets was trash

Legion was decent across the board similiar to cata but not quite as strong. Having them be obtainable as a full set at once was a nice qol.

All BFA sets was trash

Shadowlands sets are alright but no class specific sets is lame and it really makes them feel less valuable/interesting when you see literally every plate user running around in the elite set from s1.

Both cloth elite sets in SL thus far has been golden/priest color themed. Unlucky

S11/S12 Lock because you don’t really see them anymore

s11/S12 for Paladins was cool for the same reason

wods1 druid set was kewl

s14 rogue was kewl

s11/s12 DK was awesome

s11 rogue forsure, ‘twas super nice

feel like i’m forgetting a lot of stuff but honestly it kinda hurts to remember because those were the days that someone put effort into this game and now we have this degenerate pixelated recolored garbage to earn

I mean the sets in sl are very detailed, but just so generic and bland because it’s not tied to a class, just to an armor type. Im also not speaking about the 4 new ‘‘covenant transmog’’ from 9.1 that is usable for all armor types, those are terrible

This is only my 2nd season doing PVP but I really like both elite sets so far. I think this seasons’ would be infinitely better with a different color scheme though.

Demonic monk. Hands down the best. Followed closely behind the legion s3/4 white mage set.
