Actually, no. The contempt I have is towards mobile games and game companies producing sewage-tier shovelware on the mobile platform.
I think the mobile platform is the biggest piece of wasted potential for decent games that any video game medium has had. But I don't for one fractured microsecond believe Activision is making games on the mobile devices to make good games. They're only doing it to get in on the cash flow. They'll do everything Clash of Clans and AngryBirds and CandyCrush has done and monetize everything they can.
Mobile gamers I have no problem with. They're just looking for something to do when taking a dump
I just hope mobile gaming isn’t the future for all of their games. I <3 wow on the pc. :)

Well, I have contempt and dismissiveness towards the haters who will use anything and everything they can to try and destroy things.. yep, that's true.
What I don't have is that same salt towards mobile gamers.. or vr gamers.. or mac gamers. I think if people want to play and have fun, that's a good thing. If people are just here to try and tear it all down, then yeah - they deserve my contempt.

Because it's a stupid,hyperbolic analogy as though implying that a mobile title is somehow akin to a horrific real life issue. Also by no means unhinged or angry so I'm fine btw thanks for asking. ;D The OP HOWEVER seems to have a few thinking PC gamers are somehow oppressed and being left out in the cold because a company decides to dip their toe into a growing market instead of catering strictly to them. As I said,all gaming has its ups and downs. Not every company is King or EA btw,Nintendo is in the mobile market and I'm enjoying the Hell out of Fire Emblem Heroes,Skull Girls feels like its other ports and Square has some older FF ports on google play and neither so far feel shady.
If it were shown evidence that this strategy was somehow unscrupulous THEN I'd withdraw my statement and gladly partake of a slice of humble pie however,there is no evidence as such that it's going to turn out the way the OP makes it. So no nerves touched,merely conveying that the melodrama behind all this is just silly so perhaps the jaded lot should be the ones to enjoy that Snickers bar. :P It's fine not to like something but people are acting like Blizzard kicked a puppy or something equally horrendous. Just don't buy or play the games and let those who do enjoy it,plain and simple.

Nice, I imagine how the content drought will be on the next expansion if we look at BFA, and Overwatch will have one hero per year, HoTs will be shutdown, Diablo 4 Abandoned, Starcraft I & II shutdown and Warcraft 3 reforged will give you a port to mobile with the old graphics if you buy the deluxe edition.

I played and play on my Nintendo systems since the Gameboy to Switch. I always have a portable game around when I'm not in front of my home PC for WoW and other PC games. I also go to Vegas a couple of times a year for real gaming.
Blizzard titles going portable is all good. Probably a little late to the "game". Don't know about WoW itself but pet battles on phone/Switch would be fun. Not sure if today's connections and devices can sustain a full mmorpg but a standalone version would be a fine for line waiting and lunch breaks.

Whether you like it or not, enough people are interested in mobile games that Blizz is willing to tap into the market and try to make money.

Whom was named as being keen to develop mobile opportunities in ATVI's other IP.
I guess they're playing the long game ?
