Best caster class for someone new to casters?

I was about to say, that Water Elemental will help net you some extra Frost DPS, but that’s about it :stuck_out_tongue:

Mage has a LOT of great utility! First off, regardless of whichever spec you choose, you’ll gain the ability to port to every major city. This ability cannot be praised enough. Every time, I’m on this character, I miss it greatly.

Frost has a LOT of survivability and free procs at higher levels. Especially once you talent for Glacier Spike, your DPS will skyrocket.

Arcane is also really nice. Lots of insta-cast spells (Arcane Missiles, Arcane Barrage, Arcane Explosion, 2x Free Arcane Blasts), and many of those spells are really fun and flashy! You’ll drain your mana MUCH faster than Frost (which barely has to worry about mana at all), but both are a lot of fun to play :slight_smile:
