Best addon manager?

And now there’s a standalone version that isn’t connected to Overwolf.

Edit: Just saw this was 4 months old. :woman_facepalming:t4:

I used to use Ajour, but I think it’s been abandoned.

Now I just use Overwolf. It’s fine.

I’m not too sure - MalwareBytes picked up that Trojan in CurseForge instantly… That’s the full download and the Alpha.

I’m not shocked.

I need to find an alternative.

I use a mix of WoWUP and manually install what their API doesn’t have access to.

I will never agree to overwolf/curseforges sketchy ToS.

Manually and WOWUP here too. I dislikes how intrusive ads have become.

It might not be an actual trojan, but instead some component that can inject code into running programs (as malware often does), which is honestly just as shady. An addon manager has no business doing that, and if it’s doing it to WoW it risks setting off Warden.

I know this is a necro thread but I’m still gonna put this out there. Raider io is still very much relevant since their site hosts leaderboards and, as of recent, things like the “break the meta” style competition.

Curseforge. Because I don’t like making very simple things more complicated.

Open. Update. Fully close the program so it’s not running in the background.

Ah, but MalwareBytes has blocked the Trojan and that is stopping the download. I’m not programme-savvy, but doesn’t that mean Overwolf/Curseforge has the Trojan as a component?
If there’s some way to de-Trojan it, I’d like to use Alpha Curseforge… Can anyone guide me?

mine still updates

I started using WoWup…but most of the listed addons I use are showing as “ignored”.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

curseforge standalone isn’t bad, just make sure you turn on the option that actually closes it when you close it…
