To do what you want them to, even though you’re not even willing to do anything about it?
Well, there’s one way you could do that: buy out Activision Blizzard and call the shots.
Whether that’s something good or not, I suppose we’ll find out.
Maybe. Or maybe there simply isn’t a problem, or at least not enough of a problem that it warrants any effort to come up with a solution.
We’ve definitely discussed faction balance a lot on the forums over the years. If we look at Retail and how it has been handled, we might say that there are several things that have been done that directly or indirectly deal with faction balance, such as removing PVP servers, creating more cross-realm ability, server clusters, layers/phases, more individual/instance content where balance or not can be handled at a smaller scale… etc. etc.
And one might say that dealing with these imaginary problems is the direct path to Retail.

Forget PVP and come to Windseeker.
Because world pvp doesn’t exist on equal footing after classic, which has always been this way.
You aren’t getting 1v1 or 2v2 anymore, you’re getting 6 VS 1 out in the world on most servers and most players would agree that isn’t world pvp.
World pvp has always died, because 2 faction games never stay balanced.

Fixing pvp servers is a path to retail by controlling what faction xfers are happening into a particular server? Makes no sense but ok i only play for wpvp at this point im just rading in faerlina for full p2 bis before i xfer to benediction with no raiding happening. There is nothing i can do to help besides express my opinion on forums and ingame like you said no one seems to care besides diehard wpvpers. Getting rid of pvp servers is a direct path to retail not fixing wpvp you dont seem to understand the difference between pvp servers and pve and why pvp servers shouldnt look exactly like pve servers.

That’s not what I said. I also don’t buy it. If diehard WPVPers cared about faction balance, there would be communities of WPVPers rolling/transferring to help solve their own problems. This does not appear to be the case, so I do not agree with it.
It’d be interesting for you to elaborate. At the very least, I am familiar with the nomenclature of Normal and PVP servers. I would also like to think that I have an understanding of the functional difference, i.e. the ability to opt-out of PVP on Normal servers, even when in a contested area.
Shouldn’t by whose account?
I’m not personally playing Classic while asking for Retail, and I’m not here asking for issues they do not have in Retail to be addressed in Classic (effectively the same ask).
But regardless, I hope you are able to enjoy the game the way you like, and if you’d like to ask for features or changes that’s your prerogative.

You do seem to understand the difference so why should they look the same? pvp servers are for wpvp no? so why should they look the same stupidest thing ive heard. the diehard wpvpers is obviously the minority, for example faerlina has 6 alliance that came from skeram. they are in org almost everyday wpvping. they are the minority only 6 came from skeram. there is a wpvp community but is incredibly small because of all these ppl that grew up on retail and never experienced tbc pvp servers. and now that they have they dont like it but dont want to go to a pve server its so stupid.
Nothing will change for the minority when the majority doesnt care…
Im a diehard wpvper and nothing i can do about it besides voice my opinion, my guild doesnt wanna xfer and if i do before i get the gear i need im screwed for 90 days.
Not in the slightest. Steady 4000 (3600 low/5000 high) since August.
Wrong. Grobb holds because it offers RP and community. And that “meme” wpvp.
Unfair to write em off just yet if you haven’t been here to see it for yourself.

Ironforge has the graph, you were steadily losing horde until just recently, but you have lost more horde than you have gained.
Considering you’re alliance on a server with almost double the horde population on your server I’m sure you may consider it wpvp, I assure you the horde don’t when it’s always an unfair fight.

you cant even complete pvp dailys in a pvp server its so dumb and broken dawg idk what you been smoking.
We must not be looking at the same graph, looks pretty flat to me.
If nothing else, both factions rise and fall evenly based on…patches and holidays?
Consider the arena participation, it’s 58/42.
Consider the obvious detail that most who are serious about pvp overall are horde (40/60 total pvp population). A good portion of the alliance here do not pvp at all.
Horde win Terokkar towers/Halaa at least 50% of the time.
They’re zugging Temple of Telhamat as we speak.
Half the time I run dungeons, “summon stone no good, fly here”
Horde is not oppressed here. The RP community and discord won’t let it happen to them, either. Seriously a whole different culture here.
Why are you even attacking a server you know nothing about? Just to fit your narrative that everyone must be on an unbalanced megaserver?
Come here and experience it awhile before you pass judgment.

ive never seen wpvp that lopsidied in faerlina i seen them die out and not exist here ive wpvpd in faerlina for 5 months now and very rarely did i get into a situation where we 6v1d someone. what people dont seem to understand is the majority of people on pvp servers dont wpvp. so the lopsidedness rarely happens unless your somewhere like sp or high pop questing zones and dung stones. ive had a bunch solid 1v1s until i couldnt find noone. your talking of others “experience” but you have no exp in wpvp lol.
I don’t even know what you mean by attacking?
Reading a graph is not attacking anything I’m just reading the data.
You literally have far more Alliance going to that server then horde… This isn’t an opinion
And I don’t even know what to say if you don’t consider over 7000 of one faction as a mega server…
It may be different because of your server type but I’m willing to bet that it becomes an alliance only server.

Sure, it has been 60/40 from the start of TBC. But the peak of both factions was in September. We are not the popular destination getting zugged, not at all. This is a good thing.
Both factions are stable and it sounds like you just can’t accept that.
Sure, I’d take that bet.
Where else could the RP horde go though? Can’t imagine Faerlina being a healthy environment for it.

I mean tbc as a whole shuts off high level world pvp, unless you are fighting for a node.
It also depends on server balance, I wouldn’t consider the other faction who has over double the population we have as world pvp.
I’m sure horde on my server may consider SSC entrance as world pvp when it’s 4000 horde sitting in there as we go in 3-6 at a time.
Was plenty of world pvp on launch and on classic launch.
You’re also hiding so idk what server or faction you’re on.
You mentioned Faerlina, if so I’d assume your horde and it’s 14k Vs 20 Alliance, real solid wpvp!

Dawg if you read any of my other comments wpvps dead here now fool lol. There were so many places for pvp every place people were farming there was fat wpvp or any 70 zone like smv and netherlands. the pvp areas like halaa and hellfire nodes were always popping off when we were 70-30. the only lopsided pvp was at raiding stones rofl cause like i said most of the people on pvp servers only pve with the exception of bgs. yeah ofc they are gonna farm you at ssc you shoulda seen how it was for horde at the early part of p2 allies did the same to us no its not wpvp its pve that got dragged into pvp lol. I used to find great wpvp all throughout the outlands with full geared 70s all day long idk wtf your talking about tbc kills wpvp.
World pvp is dead on almost every server including yours.
So yes Tbc kills world pvp.
You having pvp on launch is an exception in wotlk it gets even worse, there won’t even be world pvp on launch we all the servers will be 95% of 1 faction by then.

Absolutely we can talk in 6 months if I’m still bothering with TBCC.
I’d bet money on you being wrong since I’ve actually been paying attention, and I know you have not.
I do think the Benediction horde will go to Faerlina though since most players don’t want the full game experience.
