Ideas on Improving the Game

3: Raids… alright, so we’ve been in raids since the game launched, they’re nothing new- they’re not refreshing, they’re the same gameplay over and over again-- well why don’t we change that up by introducing the idea of a new type- by shortening raids to four bosses and creating two groups who compete to get the last kill first at a heroic difficulty (because one side will be on one wing, and the other will be on the other- obviously- the bosses will share the same abilities and health pool along with the same mechanics to keep it fair.)- ontop of that you have extra and more diverse mobs that automatically respawn if one group begins to pull ahead of the other by a boss to make it more even- and in this scenario the winning group gets mythic type gear while the losers get baseline heroic. (This will be on lockout of one week though and guilds will need to plan accordingly to even attempt to get through this.)

I would absolutely hate that raid suggestion, and I would probably quit WoW.

What’s wrong with player housing? If it adds something new to the game then why not? Better than not having it at all.

the no expansion one was having me quit - I love new expansions. Without new expansions we would be stuck with the same world areas, the same profession mats.

That’s… a really narrow viewpoint. At least, IMO. Still, doesn’t really have anything to do with stated ideas being good or bad, so it’s probably best to leave that kind of thing at the door.

If OP’s post had come from any other toon, would you not still feel the same about the ideas expressed? If the answer to that is that you would still feel the same, then maligning Horde and Blood Elf players specifically is making an argument based on an irrelevant non-factor.

Ah, I see, you’re genuinely targeting the faction and race stereotypes as they are in-game rather than the players behind them. That wasn’t clear at first – I read it as a shot taken at anyone playing Horde or Blood Elves. I guess that’s my mistake.

See that was part of what OP was missing in their suggestion too - the RPG aspects of WoW. Although, I guess player housing could have a RP aspect. I sort of skimmed over that part because of the way they were wording things.

1: Incursions reward cosmetic currency that can be used to buy pieces of gear that give you unique appearances relating to a month ontop of the conquest and regular piece of loot.

Im ok with this one doesn’t seem too bad.

2: We -ACTUALLY- do the WPVP right by fixing the sharding issue first, giving penalties toward farming bodies in the form that the opposing side gets a damage buff- and create neutral bases that can be captured and controlled (with quests being available such as assigning roles like paratrooper/knight/medic/gyrocopter pilot.) all of these come together for better delivery on actual war, combat and set up what could be one of the most interesting scenarios in the history of this game. —Ahh but you’re asking… Sarthiria where’s the incentive? Special mounts, titles, increased honor gain for participating-- if Blizzard were smart they would exclude loot for the reason that there will be a larger amount of people purposefully abusing bugs to get it

You can go to hell with Wpvp and go play it on some other game. I want Wpvp to die. Stop spending resources on it. IF YOU WANT PVP GO TO BATTLEGROUNDS OR ARENAS THATS WHAT ITS THERE FOR.

No. just stop. I love raids and how they are. Stop trying to add competition to every aspect of the game. I want bosses to be theatrical and mechanically fun. Jaina is a great example, Lich King, Gul’dan, Argus. Archimond are aslo amazing fun fights.

I want to work together not be stressed about crap because its suddenly a race to the finish. I want to enjoy my time with my guildmates and not have to worry about 2 separate teams. I am not here to compete with your internet Epeen.

5 (kek.): Blizz already made an attempt at player housing and it was utterly pathetic- let’s reminisce about how vanilla came equipped with eating animations, sitting animations, kneeling- auto attack, all of these small qualities were reflective of the RPG nature of this game- the true fantasy aspect of it… so here’s a list for the majority of casual players who aren’t concerned at being in the top 1% bracket at PvP or managing World First kills-- starting off we have more customization options- I cannot stress this, by adding more hairstyles and little tidbits such as piercing, eye colors, tusk types, etc you increase the longevity of your character models by adding more diversity. Though they’re already a little dated but that could be fixed by tricking us into thinking we’re seeing something different… shouldn’t be hard to grasp. Moving on we have weapon and armor appearances… you have a whole studios worth of people-- you remastered most of it to fit the new models but I fail to see why you haven’t tried earnestly- like take the new armor and compare it to the old, there is a clear distinction and it’s absolutely horrible-- it makes transmogrifying most items a complete nightmare and guaranteed any wow player could guess what most items expansions are. Thirdly we have player housing- seriously, private servers can instance a small area and use commands to build a house with a functioning door/window there is legitimately no excuse you can’t make a system to properly implement this is -WORLD- of Warcraft and I’m a hecking dead woman who just wants to watch her plants grow while sipping my undercity skullshocker coffee once in awhile.

(BUUUHH SARTHIRIA MOST OF WOW’S POPULATION ARE NEW PLAYERS.) yeah? and they’re also naive to this games true potential based on their first impressions. don’t spoon feed them gear, don’t spoon feed them lore because we all suffer- they won’t be new players forever and when they find out what they’ve been missing out on when another mmo drops… you’re pretty boned Blizz- you have to set the bar to keep people- not lower it. Like who does that? Sacrifices the fun of a game in an order to make it ‘enjoyable’ to others who stay a month only?

This one is tricky for me. I see your point here but A lot of the reason why new people don’t stay is because of attitudes like about new players is why they don’t stay. Wow community is not very welcoming for the most part and the elitism that comes from it can turn people away.

PvP in WoW started with World PvP. And is remembered as one of the best times for PvP in the game. Battlegrounds and Arenas are meant for if you’re looking for a more controlled situation with an objective.

Instead of wanting something that others enjoy to die, they need to create proper incentives that don’t pander to the wrong kind of players.

If blizzard could do it right and it was accessible and available to all I wouldn’t have a problem with it. But I honestly think this game’s engine, basic structure would prevent that from happening.

I don’t think this game can allow the customization that would make that fun and all we would get would be a very costly piece of junk.

Apologies. and your right a portion of the playerbase wants. but keep it in mind that its only a portion and not everyone likes WPVP like those who do claim they do.

I am just getting really frustrated with the players that want to remove friendliness and cooperation for competition and elitisem through pvp. PVP servers should have remained and this whole Warmode is just not working as intended and a chunk playerbase needs to be bribed heavily in order for people to even consider it.

Okay, and unlike previous iterations of the game, now you can simply turn it off entirely on all of your characters regardless of their realm.

There seems to be a weird misconception about War Mode that I don’t understand. It wasn’t created to please people who like wPvP – we were already having fun with it on our PvP realms.

It was created so that people like yourself could still play on any realm you wanted, join any guild you wanted, play with any friends you wanted, without having to subject yourself to wPvP.

War Mode exists for you. It was made for you, and forced on those of us who like wPvP. Now we’re just asking for it to be refined such that it doesn’t suck.

Yep, the big question is can Blizzard do it right. There are MMO’s out there that are doing a great job with them so all they need to do is copy them and add their own flavor to it and not bog them down with so many restrictions that it makes them not werth doing.
