Beledar. the purple.. "crystal"

Oh you’re just trolling

I will give you this if we use the in-game map system as truth to how the zones actually line up in the world… And if we assume the sword went into Silithus at an angle that could be the tip of Sargeras’ sword.

HOWEVER, literally everything in this expansion points to that not being the case. Not only have the devs said it isn’t the sword, but the Arathi have said Beledar was there when they arrived, which was before Sargeras stabbed the world. Why would they lie about that? Seriously, what do they gain?

Also, Beledar doesn’t even look like Sargeras’ sword.

i believe it is and i dont trust the arathi, not so much lying, but delusional, under some sort of evil influence

its the very fine tip of it.

??

I honestly wouldn’t put it past them to at least have Hallowfall below Tanaris esp if I’m right and the Harronir zone ends up being the Un’goro-facing parts of the underdark

Scale in the game is always tricky to gauge, like the Dragon Isles and Broken Isles are iirc no bigger than Quel’thalas on a “realistic” map of Azeroth.

My theory on that is that it was not the stabbing that did it. It was when we used the artifact weapons to siphon off the corrupting power of the sword. Notably among those weapons was Xal’atath. Feels like a void being suddenly being fed a lot of power might have something to do with a void phase happening.

My crazy theory is that the Radiant Song is not actually from Azeroth, it is from Beledar. And Beledar is actually K’aresh’s world soul.

The cracks and position of Beledar clearly show it as being an impact location. So, it arrived at some point in the past. Meaning it is likely not a native part of Azeroth.

Anduin comments on it being similar to Azerite and thinks the song may be coming from Beledar. So, it has at least some connection to a world soul.

The Radiant song is the same song the Ethereals started hearing when K’aresh was threatened. Not a similar song, the same song. And the song did NOT go to Azeroth’s speaker (Magni).

Beledar is partially infected/corrupted by the void, hence the void phases. Which would make sense for a world soul that had been exposed to Dimensius.

Beledar either arrived, woke up, or started waking up around 15-16 years ago and sent out the signal that brought the Arathi. Which corresponds in the timeline to around the same time Ethereals first arrived on Azeroth. (Burning crusade where Ethereals were introduced was year 26, Dragonflight was year 40, putting TWW around 41-42.)

So, my theory goes:

Dimensius attacked K’aresh. Either of its own accord or with the help of some of those that would become Ethereals, the world soul of K’aresh was removed from the planet and escaped. But it was partially infected by the void before getting away. It then wandered through the cosmos until it started being drawn towards the strongest world soul around, Azeroth. It slammed into the planet, breaking into the Cavern that would become Hallowfel. Then it slept and tried to heal for an unknown number of years (centuries? Millenia?).

Then the first Ethereal’s arrived on Azeroth. This cased the K’aresh world soul to stir and reach out for help. It sensed the light being used on a massive scale in the Arathi empire. Being the enemy of the void that wounded it, K’aresh called out to them. The emperor sent the expedition in response and they were pulled into Hallowfel, where they named it Beledar.

Then Beledar (K’aresh) felt a spike in void power, the feeding of power to Xal’atath from the sword. That power resonated with its own wound from the void and caused the wound to flare, triggering the first void shift.

Then when Xal’atath first came close to Beledar she was recognized as a void Harbinger. Beledar (K’aresh’s world soul) panicked and started crying out for help the same way it did the first time the void threatened it, with the radiant song.

Crazy theory and I know it. Probably wrong, and I am okay with that. Fun none the less, and it does seem to fit.

kinda rude derailing my thread with bizarre theories.

the crystal is the tip of the sword.

normal, easy to understand, and so much evidence out there that supports it, youd have 2 be a fool to think its not. and may you all remember me, when it gets revealed.

And yet none of it has made it to here.

You are starting to sound like that My Pillow guy.

Beledar can’t be the tip of the sword because it was already there before Sargeras thrusted it into Azeroth.

There really isn’t much in favor of it. And there is significantly more evidence against it than for it. Some of it 100% disproves the claim it is the sword, such as notably word of Blizzard is that it is not the sword.

the proof is the sword sticking out of the ground, and the other end of it, coming out of hallowfall

AGAIN, THIS INFORMATION IS UNRELIABLE. FOR DARK FORCES ARE AT PLAY.

Why would the Arathi lie about this? What does Sargeras’ sword have anything to do with them? If they were there in Hallowfall (which again they said they were brought there by visions of Beledar their Emperor got), then why would they lie about Sargeras’ sword and when it got there?

Well since OP is clearly trolling, and doing a sad job at it, I propose we use this topic to talk about something else, even if tangential do Beledar or the Arathi.

What type of gossip you folks think that goes around the Arathi? I imagine something like

“Have you noticed that Torbald ALWAYS gets patrol shifts with Daimarth?”
“Now that you mention it… I mean, they have always been close friends. Do you think there’s something more, though?”
“More than friends, I’m quite sure they are also roommates, actually.”

I kind of wish we got more gossip amongst the Arathi for players who are more exotic races. considering we only see human and elves among them I doubt they have ever seen an Orc, Troll, Tauren, Night Elf, Pandaren, Draenei, Worgen…

Like it would be cool if we got to hear comments from NPCs questioning what we were if we played a race they likely don’t have from wherever they are from.

They would theoretically know about trolls, though none of them would have seen one before. They might know a little bit about the ancient Kaldorei, depending on how much their Quel’dorei ancestors knew and wrote down, but again, they wouldn’t have ever met them. The specific player populations of Tauren, Pandaren, and Worgen would be unknown to them, and the orcs and Draenei should be completely unknown since they’re literally aliens that arrived in recent history.

Of course, when it comes to the native Azerothian races, there’s always a chance that there’s an unknown-to-us population back wherever the Empire is, similar to the Highmountain or Yaungol. There’s also a chance that some “lost” ships made it through the storms. The Hallowfall Arathi seem surprisingly chill about a brand new group of outsiders showing up on their front door, but maybe that’s relatively mundane compared to getting attacked by giant flying squids on a regular basis.

Beledar is the reason that the Arathi were in Hallowfall.
Faerin was still a child at the time. In the game, she is an adult.
When Sargeras sword was thrust into the planet, Beledar went dark for the first time.

There is no room for deception through dark dorces.

Imagine their reaction seeing an actual undead for the first time, like a forsaken or death knight.

I think their weariness of strangers is outweighted by how desperate the situation is. “Are aren’t a kobryss so you are alright I GUESS” type of thing.

Read my mind! Naovi is literally an alien, that’s not weird to you guys? I guess you can handwave any suspicion since they’re desperate for aid of any kind though.

I did see a bit of gossip in Mereldar with Captain Fareeya and a child though, which was kind’ve fun. The conversation more centered around why she was glowing and not that she’s a 7ft tall anthropomorphic goat woman though.

Reminds me of a conversation between Artanis and Alarak.

Alarak: You have surprised my people, Hierarch. They knew little of the bravery of the Templar. Some are even impressed by it.
Artanis: They have fought nobly, Alarak. I am honoured they stand with me.
Alarak: They admire your conviction and brutality.

Alarak was such a fun character.

these people live in a [CENSORED] cave. you are all foolish to trust them, and that doesn’t mean I think they are lying.
