Being treated with suspicion/persecuted for being unguilded

This is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen on the forum and a prime example of why one of the best things about Classic is the lack of hyporcitical blood elves.

And no OP, not once have I been ostracized on my guildless alt (lvl 52 now). If it starts happening I’ll just join one of those antisocial mega guilds that spam my chat every time I play it, or make a bank alt guild for just my characters.

I am primarily a solo player and have declined guild invitations because I’m not able to play regularly. I’ve never had a negative reaction when I’ve said no to a guild invite. I did ultimately create my own guild because I wanted a tabard. It took all of ten minutes to get the required signatures. People were very willing to help and a few have stayed in-guild. I think they wanted a tabard, too!

No, it doesn’t. You’re thinking of the cost of a guild tabard. I don’t remember the cost of a guild charter, but it’s not much.

ETA: Looked it up, guild charters are 10 silver.

What?! Who the f*ck are you? The guildless police? JFC do people not have anything better to do. Some of us, myself and the OP included, have alts who remain unguilded INTENTIONALLY.

Being in a guild does not mean your not a jerk or a bot. Plenty of those in guilds, guilds FULL of them in fact. Good lord get over yourself.

Nope, not in a guild but don’t PUG either, no problem here.

My guild only allows 2 alts and I have one of every Alliance class so that means I have 5 toons with no guild. Not gonna’ join other guilds with them nor can I be bothered to start my own. The idea that being guildless means you’re a jerk or a bot is just stupid.

Being guildless just means you dont wanna hear people brag 24/7 constantly subscribe to invites to stroke their egos, the religious like guilt trips about donating to the guild, the silly politics, or childlike sex/butt stuff/(barrens chat) and the GM power trips and his lackeys who kick for disagreements not to mention the entitlement they cast on everyone. Guilds are full of people who are just toxic and ignorant and only out for themselves.

There are very few guilds where these captains of narcissism aren’t in control.

The guilds that do exist are probably casual and have no desire for end game and get excited over simple things.

There is no balance and its a ego fest, good luck if you join a guild with women in it, its 10x worse especially with discord where they non stop post pictures and get sympathy from GM’s and Officers and get free rides and love to start turmoil.

So basically you can join a guild, turn off chat or find a casual guild where people dont have inflated egos and micro peters or play the game anti soical.

Yall just jello of de Trolls.

Just curious to know where the Chinese part comes from…is it now an insult to a player by calling them Chinese?

Yes, it has been a common insult for 15 years. The assumption when you’re an unguilded person playing at off-peak hours is that you’re a Chinese gold farmer.

I just crafted some 10 slot bags and hit the starting area near Ironforge offering 1 bag per sig. Had my guild in about 10 minutes after arriving in the area.

Right now I don’t have a guild and pug a lot of instances with no problem. I used to be a GM for long time and that burned out me pretty bad.

Now I can’t or want deal with the guilds drama, I just play for the pvp and barely need a guild for that (it’s even better not have one, IMO, they don’t drag out to kills dragons or stuff) I just farm gold/regents for my consumables and camp hordes lost souls.

Maybe for P3 I could consider join a guild for BGs, but let’s see when that happen.

I was unguilded until I hit 60 by choice. I never had any problems at all.

I did get asked a lot if I wanted to join guild ‘X’. I just told people I was waiting until 60 then figure out what I wanted to do. Part of it was a test on my part to see which guilds were more interested in investing in me. Far too much of my time in WoW has been spent auditioning to guilds. For once, I wanted a guild I could enjoy my time in for its own sake.

Sure enough, I eventually found one. Haven’t regretted it since.

Seriously?
That’s pretty messed up, most of my characters are guildless cause I don’t want to deal with the stupid drama of guilds (every guild has drama so don’t give me that ‘but mine doesnt…’). And people like you being complete rear ends just reinforces not wanting to be in a guild.

Sure there is, not wanting to deal with the drama factory is a good one

You seem like a really trash person, i can see why you post on a retail character. wouldnt want people to connect you to your classic character

That’s my perspective too. All a guild has to offer in Classic is /guild chat. Anyone I group with regularly use discord and tune out /guild.

Not saying people need to use discord but it does illustrate how lacking in utility a guild actually turns out to be.

Last night, me and a group of other paladins found a non guilded warlock hanging out in EPL, we assumed he was up to no good. So we chased him down found him hiding behind lights chapel we dragged him out kicking and screaming and sacrificed him to the light. Thats what we do to the un-guilded…

um, um… sorry but I’ve never heard of “treating someone not guilded differently” only thing I’ve ever seen is folks trying to recruit my non guilded “alts”.

if there was no guild spam and people had to have skill to join a guild LIKE IT WAS IN VINIALLA then i would join a guild but these spam invite guilds are basically fail guilds i wont join any.

It’s 10 silver actually.

do what i did, make your own guild, then people are like ‘oh, who is this dude? he is so good, we should steal him from his guild’ and get people bribing you to join their guilds/inviting you to their raids/etc. works every time!
