Being Mortal

Most dragons wouldn’t be but I think any of the bronze aspect dragons could be… that being said I guess some mages would be as well depending on their power and mastery of time magic.

Mechagnomes are in fact, not mortal.

See Mimiron.

Immortal is basically just a loose term for anyone who lives for a long, long, LONG time (thousands, if not tens of thousands of years). Mortals are anyone with an average lifespan (a few hundred years tops).

Thats like saying humans are not mortal because -insert god here-. He is the creator of the mechagnomes not one himself, a titan keeper. Even so most constructs and earthern degrade over time and stop functioning or lose their minds kinda like the forsaken.

Metallic parts can be easily replaceable.

Gnomes are already viewed to have lost their minds because work is all they really think about. And how to improve it.

… meanwhile Goblins want to blow stuff up.

They never state their life span, which is kind of my issue with the race. Kind of hard to roleplay a race when you don’t know it’s life span.

This is my issue with DND too, so many races don’t specify a life span and it makes roleplaying them harder.

If I had to guess, since Dracthyr are a combination of dragons and mortal races, I would say they live as long as blood elves, for several thousand years.

Shaman can reincarnate themselves.

Short of Nozdormu handing out spoilers from the future, there’s absolutely no way to know for certain how long the dracthyr will live. They were active for a handful of years then put into a magical stasis.

Only Neltharion and his colaborators in their creation could guess with any confidence at their projected life-span.

It is infuriatingly vague and a symptom of the Dracthyr kind of getting sidelined in their own expansion.

I think that its not that characters can’t be considered immortal. It’s that they were born mortal and became powerful. It speaks to the origins of your character not to what they’ve become. They do however age? Maybe.

Speak for yourself. I plan in living forever.

:sunglasses:

That could very well be. Makes sense to me.
