Chronologically? We can start by saying Pandas happened. Garrosh unleashed so much Zug the world shook; We went back in time to help the Orcs - tl;dr most of the playerbase quit because of a content draught. Legion happened and Illidan died an edgelord to the end. Sylvannas embraced her craziness and made old-god deals. Magni asked after you every day. And now you’re a maw walker.
You’re more than welcome. Hope your eyes didn’t bleed. 
- Your need to control other player’s game play is the same as Blizzard telling everyone what they should find fun. It’s futile. Everyone likes what they like, and telling people they’re wrong about that is gaslighting in the extreme.
- WoW has had flying for 8 of its 9 iterations. Instead of trying to change WoW to suit your personal needs, perhaps find a game that already does that in its current form (has never had flying.) I’d personally prefer you stay
and not begrudge others the thing they enjoy. - Being grounded won’t make me want to socialize with you.
- I can’t quest from the back of my flying mount, so don’t pretend everyone disappears when they’re flying.
- Run instanced content where there’s no flying.
- I don’t PvP, do Arenas, or run current dungeons & raids, but I don’t advocate their removal because it would make others unhappy. I just choose to not participate.
- If flying is a game-breaker for you, Classic is available. Just don’t go to a BC server when it’s released.

- I agree, and gave a lengthy reason stating not only that, but how to improve it, and perhaps even make some people resent it less. See my post you replied to.
You are clearly confused about my post.
I did not say those are the reasons I don’t like flying in the game. In fact, I never said I did not like flying in the game at all. I said (and I quote): ‘lots of folks’ which was based on the words of the lots of folks who post here, do youtube videos on the subject and actual developers of the game.
However, your rabid reply makes it clear your original inaccurate statement of ‘between a handful of ganker PvPers who wanted flying gone from the game forever so their griefing victims couldn’t escape, and everyone else’ was based on your reactionary bullheadedness to the subject rather than actual knowledge and discernment.
For the record, I am a solo player who prefers to do everything on the ground initially for the immersion and challenge, and then loves to fly for the views and ease.
So a Pathfinder supporter but not an anti-flyer. Try again.
