What are the best corruptions to have as bear? I’ve heard/read needs are coming to echoing void and twilight devastation. How is gushing wounds?
The 3% leach is kind of… Meh, it’s something but pretty low on the list of things you can self heal with.
Side note on this post, should I cleanse the (normal level) Maut staff since I have a tier 3 twilight devestation? I certainly can’t use both as it makes me literally unplayable (tested in mechagon and good god no…). I was tempted to keep both items corrupted just use the staff single target and twilight devastation boots in multi target, but I would have to take a 20 ilvl decrease in weapon until i get a new 445 weapon. Thoughts?
I have a twilight devastation (60 corruption) and the amount of dps it gives is pretty insane, especially with an anima minor. I also have an infinite stars (75 corruption) that I pull out for a more single target built that I’m not quite as impressed with as the proc rate for bears seem super low.
From what I can determine it is something like this:
If you are aiming for damage: Void > Devastation > Stars > Wounds > “Bite” from Maut’s staff > Passive stats
If you need survivability: Passive Leech Rank 3 > Truth > Proc Verse/Mastery (in either capacity) > Other Passive Leeches > “Bite” from Maut’s staff > Haste to avoidance
What traits do you run for visions? I was thinking about doing a pure DPS focused build with twilight devastation and stacking as much fleshrending as I can
Right now I’m at 2 layered mane, 2 twisted claws, 1 wild fleshrending and 1 burst of savagery. Not saying that’s absolutely correct, but I mowed through to my rank 9 with general ease.

Blizz is changing a lot of the corruption values today. Nerfing echoing void and twilight dev. and buffing several others. Don’t cleanse anything until we see those changes.
I have been extremely lucky with my Mythic Chest’s the last two weeks. I have a 465 Polearm with Rank 2 Gushing Wound and a 465 Polearm with Rank 3 Echoing Void. What I usually do is use the EV for AOE fights/trash and the GW for single target or progression fights since my corruption levels will be more manageable and won’t have to dodge poorly timed eyeballs.
