I live in the United States, I don’t make much, but it’s a living wage… When you spend 3-6+ hours sitting at the AH constantly relisting items to make gold… The idea of then taking that 5-15k worth of profit and ‘selling it’ for what would be the equivalent of 0.10¢ an hr ‘wages’ would be moronic.
And, I get that you’re trolling, and that I’m answering thoughtfully to what’s obviously an incendiary troll post, but hey you won, it worked, you got a response outta me, you got me to defend myself against your trolling accusations.

If you’ve made a 2,000 gold profit in SoD, why in the world are you buying MORE SoD gold?

Near all those “your classic gold for wrath gold” or whatever versions trad chat adds are gold traders looking to launder their gold and make a fee on you.
Some are also flat out scams.

To go off topic with this analogy that doesn’t work at all because why not, receiving stolen property is a crime. Depending where you are, it may very well not matter at all that you didn’t know it was stolen. Only that they believe you should have known it was stolen. People quite often get detained and can spend days / weeks / months / years of their life in jail, or be put on house arrest before they even get a trial.
In general, this is something that more people should be more aware of.

I swapped my WotLK for SoD gold a few weeks back, when I only had about 500g liquid at the time and wanted more purchasing power/have an easier time helping guildies with profession leveling and consumes, while still having enough gold to strike on Phase 2 Prep items like Iron, Heavy Stone, Liferoot, Kingsblood, Bolts of Mageweave, rare engineering recipes, rare tailoring recipes, ect.
Like I said, the AH and the economy is 90% of the game for me, shame me for playing the game how I enjoy playing it, idc, it’s what fun for me… ANd part of the fun is being able to brag and gloat, and ‘flex’ my massive amount of gold in game… Have you ever heard of a single RMT cheater bragging, publicly, where GM’s can read it, about how much gold they have?

Does it matter? If we care about where the gold comes from ban anything that requires gold leaving your char and going to a different char.
