It is like when you go to the store and something is cheaper at the register than what it is listed at on shelf type of a deal… I’m not going to say anything but I’ll sure go back and buy it up at that discounted price if I can.

there used to be an addon to track this so the items lit up for you making it really easy to just go thru and buy up a bunch of weapons and armor to vendor for more than they were going for on the AH
That’s not a scam, that’s playing the market.
Saw this yesterday with leather. Was like wow this went down from yesterday, but then I looked and one person had it set at 1g with the next hundred entries being at like 30.
Yeah, an add-on was how I noticed it in the first place. Super useful! I rarely put anything non-trades up on AH now
It would be awesome to be able to block certain people from the AH tab so you didn’t have their manipulated pricing.

Again, you missed the point of my post. I am simply warning people to keep a close eye so they don’t get scammed. And this is scamming. Sorry if you feel different but if you find it in you to intentionally put something on the AH for 99% less than the current value KNOWING that a LOT of people are also selling the same thing and also at the start of a new expansion your only intent is to scam someone out of their hard work so you can make a profit. That is wrong in every way. It is scamming. It honestly sickens me that so many people on this forum are defending this kind of behavior.
I’m sorry, I read your posts and this thread and this is all I’m coming up with:

Nope. It sounds you someone has evil intent to make a profit. If they’re so lazy as to not want to go out and farm them and have to resort to this then they don’t deserve to play this game. They’re literally trying to exploit people.

It’s one thing to make a thread saying “Just a heads-up guys, remember to double-check your listing prices since the markets fluctuate a lot”, and then it’s another to say “If you don’t bother double-checking your listing prices before you list an item, you’re getting scammed by scammy scammers.”
And you’re suggesting these evil auctioneers be banned? What price would you dictate be the mandatory minimum price?
@Anorysa - Thank you for the heads’ up! I noticed much the same, mostly because sadly this isn’t the first time I’ve seen this come up.
And after looking through this thread… well, I’m sorry that you’re trying to be helpful and instead getting a face-full of the standard toxicity present in this game. Clearly a lot of folks these days are perfectly fine with taking gross advantage of others, and don’t like being called out for it.
