Yes, that is the issue. Obviously it isn’t a security issue as evident by the fact that you can log into each game individually. So why all the unnecessary frustration with logging into Battle.net. We should be allowed to log into battle.net on as many machines as we want given that multiple logins are handled at the individual game level not Battle.net.
which is the equivalent of posting into the void. At the very least, by posting it here, it will get some traction with the player base and as such get noticed by people who might care.
Good Luck. I don’t think anyone who has power to make changes even visits this forum. Whether they care or not on top of that is separate.
Those extra steps are necessary though, it ensures that the players account remains safe.
But your account can’t be accessed from each game, you can however do so through the launcher.
Perhaps. I get what you’re saying. And with no experience doing it can see how it might be a pain in the neck. Just seems much ado about not much.
Honestly, I probably shouldn’t have said anything. Just struck me like a weird complaint. K?
Use the .exe to log in instead of Bnet.
See. She always knows this stuff! Inside and out.
Rhielle, you’re better than wowpedia! Lordie, you could set* up your own site or YouTube thingy. Lol
Why would that make any sense? Also, it’s obviously a security thing.
LOL Im not that knowledgeable. Just some basics.
No they aren’t.
Its obviously not since i can log into each game individually.
After a DC which prompts a log in, yes?
security & anti-cheat
(note: I see no harm in letting someone play different games on different computers simultaneously, just saying those are probably factors why you can’t)
By what process do you believe that Battle.net does this through the battle.net desktop app that would forbid multiple instances running on different computers?
you would have to ask the developers that question. you’re not likely to get an answer though.
If you use the .exe file to log into the other game, this doesn’t happen.
You can’t, only the wow.exe allows that. I tried D3 and Hearthstone, and their executables launch the Battle.net launcher and log you in.
You don’t have to keep the launcher running while you play, though. Once you launch the game and it’s authenticated and connected, you can exit out of the launcher and open it on another computer.
could always play hearthstone on your phone while playin WoW on your desktop (assuming you have a phone of course). or, if your crazy like me, you’ll have both on your desktop, and play hearthstone when your on long flightpaths.
(maybe play hearthstone on a second monitor… i dunno…)
I’d like to get food out of the fridge, but the act of having to walk to the fridge is an unnecessary one in my opinion
