I’m getting error BLZBNTBNA00000A8E when trying to log in to Battle.net. When I click on the linked support article, the support page itself returns a “403 Forbidden” error. This also happens when I try to click on the Support link from this forum.
The strange part: when I switch to my phone’s mobile data, everything works perfectly (login and the support page both load fine). The problem only happens on my home network.
What I’ve already tried, with no success:
Restarting the router
Powering off the router for 10 minutes
Flushing DNS (ipconfig /flushdns)
Fully uninstalling and reinstalling the Battle.net app
Since it works on mobile data but not on my home connection, I suspect it might be something related to my ISP, router settings, or DNS/IP being blocked somehow — but I’m not sure how to diagnose or fix that.
Has anyone run into this exact combination (login error + support page 403) and found a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You’re correct here. Unfortunately, only your ISP would be able to address the routing issue, so it’s best to put it on their radar.
In the meantime, if you don’t want to use the hotspot (they’re usually kinda slow, but YMMV), try a VPN. A lot of people in this forum have suggested Cloudflare. It’s a stripped down VPN that doesn’t let you choose the city you connect through, but it’s easy to operate and could work. I prefer a VPN that lets me choose the city where most of my chars are hosted (Chicago) to get the best ping possible. You may want to do the same if the issue drags on for a while.
Using a VPN does solve the login issue for me. Thanks. Once I’ve logged in with the VPN on, I can disconnect it afterwards and Battle.net keeps working fine without it.
However, the support pages, Battle.net news, BlizzCon, and other related Battle.net sites still don’t load for me, even with the VPN on.
