If I launch a game (WoW Classic), and Battle Net launcher pops up, it immediately begins to download updates for Retail (despite the last game being played never being Retail).
Clicking the Settings (Cog) icon, and going in to Game Install/Update settings, and changing Automatic Updates to “Never automatically apply updates” and changing Network Bandwidth to 1 KB/s for both Latest updates and Future patch data.
Neither of these are honored. It continues to download whatever it wants, at whatever speed it wants.
I’ve closed the launcher. Relaunched. Settings persist. Doesn’t matter. I’ve rebooted. Launched. Settings persist. And off to downloading we go.
How do I make these settings … do their thing?
