Just had this pop up for me. Never seen it before in my life. The thing that was weird was it KEPT popping up after i said no, so i closed the app completely, re-opened it, and then it didn’t ask anything. Strange that this pop-up started. Not sure why it did, and why it didn’t come back.
I thought for a second maybe blizzard had done some crazy upgrade to anti-cheat or made it more invasive so that is why I hit “No”.

Same here. It looked suspicious so I clicked no but it kept popping up. Had to restart my computer to get it to go away and haven’t yet opened BattleNet but came here to investigate. It kept on repopping after I hit no, taking over the whole screen.
Can we get a blue post about this please? @Blizzard.

Happened to me also, 3 times in rapid succession.

I also came here to what is going on. Battle.net updated needs to respect when a user says “no” and not pop up repeatedly, effectively hijacking the computer.
You don’t need to restart though. You can end the task in task manager and it wont pop back up. I’ll likely uninstall now but for those that don’t, make sure you don’t allow Blizzard to do this. It’s against Window’s ToS.

Yeah. This is really weird that it kept popping up repeatedly like that. Felt like computer was being hijacked. Blue post is needed IMO.
I just had it pop up on me 4 times in a row, I kept saying No and it popped up again… I wasn’t playing blizzard games, I was in mincraft… I immediately flipped off my computer and rebooted with internet disconnected and ran virus scan… then plugged ethernet back in and did search ending up here…
I am glad to see I am not the only one experiencing this for first time

Someone at blizzard likely really messed up IMO. Not sure how else this could happen.
I bet that is what happened… I just glad its not a new virus… assuming blizzard wasnt hacked…

Chiming in to say I’m seeing the same thing right now. I would really like to hear from Blizzard what is going on because in all my years of playing, I’ve never seen this once. Feels super suspicious.
just had this today for the first time 10mins ago. Never remember it ever happening unless I had maybe fresh installed a new game on bnet. I also had a windows update last night.
I got this message about 8 times in less than 5 minutes while playing SoD, i clicked yes a few times and then just kept said no until i got tired of it and logged off. Im glad im not the only one experiencing this, it was super scary

Same situation, completely random while waiting in Dalaran. I hit no but it was persistent. I also did a google search for the application asking for permissions and I arrived here. 4 to 5 times.

I just noticed that Blizzard has scheduled maintenance happening on Saturday at 7AM PST. Possibly related to “someone messing up on a Friday”?
So thus far it seems like everyone here JUST had this happen about 10 minutes ago and it happened to a lot of people at once. Seems apparent by the flow of people in this thread it happened to all of us around the same exact time.
I am kind of assuming the worst right now, not gonna run the battle.net app until there is a blue post on this probably.
