Perfect time for a wake up/shake up. Someone could take advantage of the opportunity to provide something decent for disenfranchised players. Hoping it happens soon. I for one will never look back.
so you guys gonna fix AV or just naw?
I hate this. At lvl 29 I am sitting in a 30+ minute queue on Friday night. Blizzard this makes 0 sense.
AV has Horde with a 95% win rate, or even worse as people using add ons that track wins have shown taking over 100 games to get a first win. AV queues have gone from 5 min week one to well over two hours.
The map is grossly imbalanced- so when we look at that you’d think it would be logical to balance the map or flip it to give Alliance a chance or switch the advantages.
Yet Horde wanted to keep the advantage, and Blizz catered to early horde whining when the win rate was even, despite everyone sensible saying there’d be longer queues.
Why would causing people to have longer queues be seen as a good idea? Because Horde asked for it, back in phase 1-2 with their ‘reroll or quit’ spam, again with their AV demands- that’s the reality, most people here would rather have uncompetitive, ez mode pvp with long queues than short queues and hard fights.
It was cut in half- so if you can’t even fill one match now, then your ‘tons’ of BGs was basically one. Cuz if you were even having two going at all times before, you’d be having one at all times now.
No there used to be like 7-9 going at once, now lucky if we get 1 or 2 on a good day. Something has definitely gone haywire, and clearly I am not the only one experiencing this.
Revert this back please. Just remove the BG holidays, could care less about them.
If that were the case you’d have about 4 going- if you’re getting one or two now, that means you were getting 2-4 before. Look, I’m rank 6 at level 42 so I’ve done a fair bit of pvp while leveling- and I’d rarely seen more than 3 groups in any bracket at a time, I think maybe up to 6 during prime time months ago, which makes the current queue situation a logical progression.
The numbers that people here are saying they were getting before, like 7-9, clearly would have led to a different situation than this. Maybe before all the nubs and lowbies were driven out in the first month or so you’d have that many popping, but there was also a time where 200+ AVs were going at a time… before the change, there was maybe a dozen at peak hours.
PvP interest has dropped, especially for players that are constantly put into losing situations like lowbies being wrecked by twinks or Alliance in AV- losing isn’t fun, not even having a chance of having a decent match even less so.
Even if they reverted this change, this is still going to be the destination.
This announcement has 12,000 views and only 10 people liked the post, I think that speaks for itself. Just a bad change for the community overall
End of the month coming up, lots of subs expiring. Guess classic was fun while it lasted.
You have no clue what you are talking about kid. Blizz put items in the game like Shadowfang, extremely lower droprate items at level 19 SPECIFICALLY for twinks.
If they didn’t, those extremely rare items that just happened to be usable at exactly level 19 wouldn’t exist.
People at level 60 can get max gear and 2 shot people as well, whats your point?
The damage burst and cc at 19 is actually quite less than at 60.
Bump till blue…
That’s actually a very silly comment to make. Blue items have a wide range of level requirements. Furthermore, the bracket used to end at x0, (i.e., 21 -30) initially before they changed it in patch 1.7.
This was poorly implemented. The splitting of the NA playerbase had a huge negative impact on the game and community.
Please revert this split. 99% of the players would love you for doing so.
Reverting this split for sub-60 BG’s would be an easy way for Blizz to gain street cred amongst Cripps and Bloods alike.
terrible, queue times are awful for me i’m east coast on a pacific server
The queues are just as bad at 60 as they are at lower lvl brackets, do not be fooled. this change was all-around horrible for everyone except for the apparently lazy dev team that didnt want to find a proper solution and chose the easy one. GG
2 hour queues all day for AV
20-30 mins for WSG (which always ends up running into premade)
20 min queues for AB with the same issues as WSG.
big oof
This has been the most dogs@@t decision in the history of classic wow. In a single dumb decision blizzard has found , yet another way, of ruining pvp. Now every single horde server has retarded amounts of que and allies have instant que’s everywhere. Furthermore there is no faction change option to give those who don’t want to wait 2 hours for a single damn AV to faction change or do anything about it really…PLEASE UNDO THIS TERRIBLE DECISION!
P.s. Also it would be nice to not get stuck against FULL PREMADES when you que with 2 to 3 friends in a group que for AB’s or WSG. Genuinely a terrible matchmaking system and decision making again.
Please revert this change, as there are much better ways to adress the original issue, while this only hurts more. Queue times punishes people that do not have the time to wait for a 3+ hr queue.
I’d rather have a split between full premades and not
