So I have been an avid pet collector for years and noticed there are no wild pet battles in areas where I have collected all available wild pets. How am I supposed to level current pets at level 1 unless I go to low-level pet battle masters (like the lvl 2 guy outside Ogrimmar)? Either that 1x daily or I pull low-level pets into pet battle trainer fights and carry with lvl 25s? I used to love engaging in wild pet battles and hunting for rares; this portion of the game has been ruined for me. I honestly thought only the newest area was going to be impacted, not the entire world.
So, they are still there. Mine are just not showing up with the little green pawprint on the min-map is all.
Any chance you have Track Pets turned off ? Tiny pair of binoculars at top right of your screen lets you choose what does and doesn’t show on your map. Click on it and you’ll see your choices.

Yeah, sometimes Blizzard likes to turn it off. 
Pet tracker has been turning itself off a lot over the last month or two.
That has never happened to me before. Once it was turned on, it was on permanently. It really does feel like someone in Blizz is trying to kill off pet battles entirely.
