For the last week I noticed Battle net desktop app is locking up everything on my iMac. The Battle net desktop app will start with that blue pinwheel of death then locking up Safari, discord and more. I deleted the Battle Net app and reinstalled it and continue to have the same problems. You need to restart the computer to use anything else. Anyone else having. problems like this and how do you. fix it ?
Hey, Beåchbum! The issue sounds like something is causing a deadlock resulting in the system to freezing for each application. With the behavior of it require a reboot to resolve those freezes, let’s check that the system is fully up to date to the latest OSX version and an SMC Reset may help, but I’d advise to check with Apple support from there. The application shouldn’t cause this type of behavior and it could suggest a deeper issue with the OS or hardware.
