Because this set is meant to harken back to the times before the Scourge destroyed Quel’thalas. Back then the High Elf color was blue. They only repainted everything red after the war when they became “Blood Elves” to honor the fallen. But then Kael’thas took it too far (just like the Scarlet Crusade did) and many chose not to follow him and instead went with Alleria or became refugees in Alliance territories like the ones who went with Vereesa in Dalaran and formed the Silver Covenant. Those elves kept their original blue aesthetic.

I am still holding out hope we will see the rest of the set pieces on the TP next year but if I have to wait until December again I will riot!
Imagine waiting for the Warden set. I wanted it for a rogue I have not leveled yet, but I’m thinking to make him undead in lieu de Nelf.
Logged on today and seems the green glow is gone!?!? Anyone else wearing it can verify, but looks a lot cleaner today than yesterday (or my graphics is set too low for glows, lol)
It did this to me yesterday. If you take your helm off and put it back on the glow comes back. I didn’t have a chance to test if loading into a new zone resets it though

I noticed that too just now, the glow seems to be gone and I play on the highest possible setting so it’s not that. Hope it stays gone because it was weird, lol. Good riddance to it.
P.S. If someone at Blizzard is actually reading this thread GIVE US THE REST OF THE SET!!!

I know, the gated old mogs drive me nuts. I have ye olde title from vanilla on my priest; wish it was at least unlocked for your other chars. I have no desire to play rated pvp anymore because its so toxic. If I could still random it i would. I realize you can solo shuffle but I don’t care much for the arenas.

Got a hat from vault and transmoged to this, and the glow was back…but then logged off and back on later and the glow was gone…so IDK???

It’s clearly a recolor of the original red one. So ingame the blue orbs glow green

There are some stuff that go with the theme. I’m currently wearing the tmog set. The only bad thing is that the belt clips the robes.
I’m happy enough with my set up. i know the colour of the helm doesnt match perfectly, but I also don’t care. I’ll change it twice more between now and next week anyway.
