Bastion Completion

How long does it take to complete Bastion? Asking for a friend.

Took me shy of 5 hours with all side quests done
Could probably do it in 3 with no side quests but I advise you do some of them

Forgive this question. How do you tell the difference in a side quest vs. mainline?

Main questline has a shield around the quests. Side quests look like normal quests. And due to you being groundbound and need to ride everywhere, when you can’t use flight points, it takes a few hours to complete it. Maybe 3-4.

Thank you.

Yr welcome. Also, you have the campaign log at the top of your quest log, you can see when you are on the right track there. You need to complete all the campaign questline before you can move on, and need to be a certain level. Not sure what it is now since I was automatically given the trigger quest for Maldraxxus when I completed the campaign.

What knee said
And the reason I suggest doing some but not all of the side quests is, the story alone isn’t enough to get you to level 60, and each zone has level caps before you can move on.

But all the side quests in bastion took me to level 55 and that clearly too high aha

I found bastion and all side quest, maldraxxus story only, ardenweald all side quests, revendreth story only got me to level 60 half way through revendreth

No idea what the fastest route is sadly

Oh I didn’t know this. Thanks.

Actually, I just checked ingame. The campaign log now shows you what level you need to be when you click on it. For example, my Paladin is doing Ardenweald, and is currently level 57. The campaign indicates he needs to be Level 58 to continue.

Do some side quests along the wan when you notice them. The campaign alone stops dead at the 53/54 jump with full rested bonus. I had to break off at that point and run a couple 3-man elite kills and 5-6 other quests…

For reference, Maldraxxus also took me around 5 hours completing every side quest I could.

Likewise, Bastion, around 5 hours with all side quests.

Man did Blizzard really nail the pacing.

Holy cow you guys are nuts! Bastion took me just under an hour and a half

Nuts? No. Enjoying the game, read the quest dialogue, listen, and take it all in? Yes.

Idk, I’m already lvl 60 on ask and i barely did side quests if at all

Fair enough haha, I despise levelling lol, worst part of the game, if Blizz gave me a way to hit max instantly I would take it in a heartbeat and say wham bam thank you ma’am

You can pay to skip to max level, can’t you?

Seems weird to me, but if that’s your thing, go for it

Not right away, I had to go through the questing unfortunately. Idk, I just don’t find it fun to do that, it’s just a slog and provides no challenge. I prefer content like high m+ and arena that is stressful and keeps my brain active
