That inconsistency aside, its definitely a you problem. Your attitude’s sh*t. You have really poor social skills and seem pretty self-centered.
I’m also on Sulfuras and when I read the first sentence of your post I thought, “I got alts, I’ll add this guy’s battletag and help him out when he needs it.” Then I continued reading and came to my aforementioned conclusions.
You’re level 36 still because you don’t play the game enough, spend time doing things that don’t offer experience, and took breaks. People won’t level with you because they either get bored of their alt and quit or level past you because you play so little and don’t progress your character at an average rate. You can’t find people to do elite quests with you because they are generally less xp/hr efficient than other quests. If you really want to do one, then return to it in a couple levels and solo it.
Even though this post has less to do with your title and more to do with your lack of self-awareness I will still address it. You are getting the “classic experience” as you are experiencing Classic. This game was never going to provide the “vanilla experience.” We are on the final patch from the start, server sizes were increased, layering is implemented, and most importantly the internet has all the information you need to min-max and exploit the game.
We were never going to relive 2004, instead the old world was rereleased for us to thoroughly rape.
