I feel your pain OP.
This is why I literally take hours and hours ensuring I am 100% happy before hitting create character. Can go to WoWhead classic dressing room to get down all the numbers of what hair/skin you want and then translate that over to the actual game’s character creation screen.
This version of the game is not perfect. It is meant to be flawed and incomplete. That’s the entire point. We’re playing a version of the game very similar (but not exactly) to how it was in 2004.

Do whatever you want on fresh, just leave era alone (except for yearly scourge invasions and bi-yearly world buff turn ins)
Your beard is who you are, you can’t run from this fact.
I’m sure Blizzard will be more than happy to allow you to change your character’s appearance.
For a small fee of course.
playing fresh was a last minute decision, so i didint have time to perfect my character. This version of the game has dual spec, instant mail and buff/debuff limit removed. Not to mention chronoboons. Is it so much to ask to change my characters pixel formation in a 20 year old game?

because i had to rush character creation to reserve my name
Uh, you realize that if you reserve a name it’s reserved and then you can template a character model and then note the selection and then delete your reservation name and then replicate the look you want.
Everyone does it this way, kinda always has and it’s not new, it’s been this way for 20 years.
So then I ask the question I just now thought of… did you buy the character from a service or something?

it was actually taken at first and i freaked out, but i kept trying and somehow got it.
What service? This is a character on the fresh realms.
Just do what Ugly Bob does and permanently wear a helmet that hides your horrible ugliness from the rest of the world of warcraft.
