What specifically has been inflated?
Inflation can come in tons of forms. For example gold was inflated in SoD when they introduced Nightmare Incursions. Everyone suddenly had 1k+ gold for very minimal time and effort compared to how you got it before. It lead to extreme price increases that we STILL see today on major servers. Some things have dropped with the fact most people raid log or quit now because SoD lacks content.
I can’t say specifically in the current Cata game what is and isn’t, in my time, a lot of stuff on the AH became untennable, you couldn’t make gold normally. It almost became a case of, wow I can go out farming ore for 2 hours and make like 300g or I can go do GDKP runs and make whole orders of manitude higher!!! And that’s the issue, it’s a system that incenivizes EVERYONE does it or it hurts anyone else. Now the inflation of the system of making gold becomes basically buying gold and GDKP runs and bots run the AH.
Then what was inflated in wotlk because of gdkps?

It’s been years and I’ve played about 3-4 modes of WoW since then. Couldn’t tell ya, Enchants, Mats, Consumables were very expensive at the launch of WotLK for me. To an extreme.
Also notice how you completely skipped out on the: The AH is run by bots and the only way to make reasonable gold is GDKP.

Again, How does a JC/Miner farm herbs if herbs are inflated? Or how does a JC/Miner farm enchanting mats if Enchants are inflated? I’d have to buy them…for gold, to resell or hope I win a ton of greed rolls.

They factually haven’t and you have no examples of anything, infact why not go look up a price site that tracks the prices of things and give examples?

I didn’t say we’re not going to talk about herbs, herbs can be inflated depending on the mode. I said I was using herbs as an example. I never said I necessarily JUST meant herbs. IF herbs are inflated, how do I farm them? If I’m herb/alch, how do I farm ore if that’s inflated? Enchanting may be the one avenue you can get even if you’re not it, but even then it’s unreliable.
GDKP drives everyone to not do their professions properly that lets the bots take over the market, it drives the inflation OF the bot accounts, which then supplies the gold to sell to the people that buy their gear. LOL It’s one whole disgusting system and yes, the inflation is always VERY high at the start of expansions typically, when everyone is buying the supplies. But it’s pretty much an accepted fact that normal players won’t drive supply with GDKP set in place. Why would they?

Usually the stuff that makes players money IS the professions yes. lmao That is how people TEND to make the most money throughout the history of WoW, there may be instances of it not, and them finding other means of making gold, farming certain drops, etc, but USUALLY it is professions, something that GDKP has killed off.
