We can’t not move the game forward because bad things might happen.
Having the banks consistent across character banks, warbanks and guild banks is the right thing to do. Consolidating it so we don’t have to go to multiple place (or pay deposit fees per item as we do with Void Storage) is the right move to make.
Considering they didn’t even tell us what exactly happened with the guild banks, I doubt this will happen, but I would like it to.
Only once have I seen Blizzard make a blog post about an issue that arose at a critical time, and that was the Dragonflight Launch Boat Fiasco.
Posts like this are what we need to advocate more for. It was nice to see them take the time to explain what happened to us.
