It’s hilarious to me that every season people shell out what I assume is $1,000+ only to have it taken away from them.
Interesting tidbit but a lot of them keep the glad achi, so you can tell they rmt’d because there’s no mount in their collection. I found one guy who had purchased like 4 and had all the mounts pulled.
Yeah, but then again there were plenty of people who spent $300,000-$500,000 on Diablo Immortal.
Some people just have dough to bankroll spending on the dumbest things. It’s a nice reminder to showcase that life isn’t fair…
It must be a lot of money right? Considering the huge time/effort commitment to get glad, especially last season.
Dear Lord…
There are also a few posts on the forums where people are complaining for wrongful PVP boosting and/or account sharing bans.
I honestly don’t think it’s affluent people doing it in most cases. I saw that one DH who tried to buy R1’s bedroom on stream, the guy didn’t seem like he had money.
In the case of $3-500k, sure, but yeah either way it just seems like wasted effort.
Dairy queen
This is another post talking about the banwave thingy and I’m still confused on what that’s about.
Blizzard regularly performs “banwaves” (or sweeping bans across large numbers of accounts) for people who break TOS. In the case of PvP, it is frequently for purchasing boosts with real money, and/or buying pilots, which is where other people play your account (which is very much against TOS).
Also botting and hacks and stuff but that doesn’t make for good drama
Oh sorry I should have clarified. I get the overall process and all that I was just wondering the reason for the banwave.
Like did a lot of folks get caught up in RMT that kind of thing. Was just curious.
Ty though for providing that bit of information. It was very well laid out.
RMT and/or account-sharing seems to be the leading thing right now.
Got you. Thank you Kennie.
They didn’t ban a guy on my friends list who bought a character that was pilot’d to glad and he xferred it over to his account so he gets mount + title.
Kind of funny how they’ll just allow an account name change and immediate xfer of a blank char with nothing except a gladiator drake on it, as if there’s any doubt as to what could’ve happened there.
