Ban GDKPs in SoD

I have seen no reason to ban GDKPs other then “I don’t like them” along with claims that they contribute to things that are prohibited in game already. There is nothing inherently wrong with a GDKP.

After all what is the difference between paying a tank 200g to tank zg for you vs a 200g payout for a ZG run to the tank in a gdkp?

Because it’s a problem on current classic servers? Repeating the same action and expecting a different outcome is insanity. The same people playing on Classic today will play SoD meaning the culture will arrive with them. People didn’t think retail culture would show up in Classic but it did. Better to make it illicit activity now rather than throw your hands up in frusturation because there is no solution months down the road.

It’s so painful having to constantly explain to WoW players that 1 + 1 = 2.

Mercenary getting paid for service vs. high value item(s) being sold to player(s).

GDKPs are fun. Ban all RMTs and botting - There’s the issue. Players are going to buy RMT gold and buy items from the AH even if GDKPs don’t exist.

2 brain cells must be rough.

Referring to an opinion as cute is trogg behaviour

Seems like blizzard is determined to let GDKPs, RMT and Botting ruin SoD also. I’ve already seen hundreds of bots.

How is a casual getting the funds to participate in a GDKP run without resorting to buying Gold?

Yep.

Can’t wait for the Season of Dad’s Credit Card.

I’ve seen a big spike today. It’s disappointing.

GDKP and RMT are directly connected. That’s the reality. Blizz needs to just ban GDKPs. Certain private servers have done it, and it’s been a huge success.

They’d have to ban player gold trading.

As much as I’m against it, as much as I disagree with it. I say leave it in. I think they should try and do about botting and hope they don’t put tokens in.

I don’t remember it being in the 40-mans, I just remember DKP where the more you showed up, the more points you earned.

What about people selling instance runs for gold? Same principle, but I don’t think it should be bannable.

I’m curious how it would turn out, if they can get 40 people to do something like that, when it takes a week for a raid to reset, more power to them. Good luck.

The issue with selling runs is the players who buy those runs don’t really play or they wouldn’t be buying and if you don’t play they don’t legit have Gold to afford those runs which means RMT.

Then Blizzard should work on botting and gold buying / selling. I honestly don’t think it’s going to be much of a problem. A good majority of the players will be bored and drop off before raiding begins, and if blizzard makes it too much like retail then there would be another set of players who will quit.

after googling it it seems to be a thing in classic era servers too. However, how much does it span, I’m not sure. Gold selling has been an issue since the early days of wow. So after 19 years, do you think Blizzard will solve the problem? If it affected too many people, people would quit in masses, but they aren’t.

You cannot control what others do but you can control you. If you don’t want to GDKP, then don’t.

I’m not wasting any more time on this game. It’s not just the game’s fault though. The players in this game come up with just the worst ways to play together.

Blizzard dosen’t care about the game they will let the gdkps, bot, hackers and rmt take over like normal and people will leave because they can’t get loot from the instances farm ore ect and go back to the other servers you can’t mention without getting banned.

They don’t care they will never do anything about the rmt and botting problem.

The dev’s are god. They can literally do anything they want in the game. GDKPs are the fault of the devs and only the devs. They could get rid of it at any time. They CHOOSE not to.
