i highly doubt gdkp culture will stay alive (ESPECIALLY on alliance realms) dont worry!
I fail to see why you would ban gdkps at this point? Gold is already so inflated and because of this it’s not hard to make gold when the game is alive (and the beginning of MoP it will be very active which means it’s easier to make gold with professions) and it’s also not hard to get into gdkps either because there are so many.
Also there are still people that do raids outside of gdkps and there are of course plenty of guilds that always want/need players and right now is the perfect time to find a guild and it will continue to keep getting better as MoP gets closer and closer.
If you raid in a guild it’s not hard to make some gold to have for consumes and gems/enchants ect, gathering is super easy in MoP and there are also plenty of dungeon / open world gold farms that will also make you gold, I raided from the start of Firelands until now while being at 350k gold and i’m still well over 300k gold.
The team got rid of LFR cause they want more social interaction, if youve played SoD youd see that theres alot of interraction between players without GDKP
GDKP errodes the games foundation where you stop treating it like a game and start treating it like a job, social interraction changes from finding a group to buying a service.
Unlike SoD where you had more less permanent PuGs or simply guilds for doing activities in game, GDKPs just end up replacing this
Its cringe, its a detriment to gameplay and it serves as a medium for goldbuying-selling

Ngl to me it just sounds like you are too lazy to go find a pug or a guild or you just play on the most dead server of all time.
Like I said it’s not hard to get into raids that are not gdkp and it’s not hard to make gold either, it’s also easy to gear up to get into raids due to inferno/celestial dungeons.
Plenty of guilds spam daily recruiting people in LFG/Trade and in discords.

With the removal of LFR, raids will devolve into GDKP runs for those that were counting on LFR to gear up.
If youre removing LFG ban GDKP and enforce it to make it more SoD like with a vibrant guild / pug scene

That’s exactly it, gdkp haters just want to join some SR run, parse grey and leech loot. Good players gravitate towards GDKP runs which in turn hurts SR runs because the pool just becomes full of low effort leeches. If you don’t want to GDKP just join a guild, it’s really not that hard.

GDKP incentivizes players to do GDKP only or GDKP guilds and pulls playerbase away from normal guild runs. We have lost core raiders to GDKP farmers on Faerlina, where the gdkp community is pretty toxic. Still at 30k min bids, gatekeeping, no way to get in unless you’re rich or already geared and can carry. The good players exist in guild runs that are needing fills, or GDKPs, so as someone new or returning, its very hard to get into a good MS>OS or SR pug because they simply just don’t exist in great number. It’s a massive cash grab, makes you wonder what’s happening with all that gold…
IRL social events that don’t rely on money are fun and fulfilling until money gets involved. This is no different.

Huge amount? There’s 50k sod players. If every single one of them came over and opposed GDKP (which they don’t), it still would not even be as many players who are currently running and supporting GDKP on cataclysm. Inflation was not better on sod. It was the same. The number of pugs went down as everyone said it would. The pugs only continued when sod was handed blanketing raid buffs and allowed to bring 40 people into a 20 man raid. Go play anniversary if you want classic no gdkp.

GDKP turns the game from a online multiplayer game where you form guilds to do content as a friend group into a business transaction that only cares about hyper optimization so you can carry more customers per raid. It’s the antithesis of the experience Blizzard should be striving towards.

There are guilds dedicated to GDKPs and lots of friends do them together. Also, even without GDKPs, people care about hyper optimization so you spend less on consumables and less time and effort in the raid obtaining loot.
I don’t do GDKPs, but you anti-GDKP people are just not thinking about your position whatsoever.
