And there you have it, so what you are saying is that if Discord wasn’t around there would just be another easiest way.
Never thought about it before but that’s probably the best thing about Discord

They can’t, no company can ban another legitimate company
They’ll just link you to something else that links to the Discord

Probably the same amount of times you’ve seen someone accidentally put their mumble info into trade chat If you do it then trolls will show up
or after a person has been invited to a lfg group

Been playing since 2009. Guilds always used a voice chat for raiding. Ventrillo/Mumble/Teamspeak/Discord etc it doesn’t matter what the program is, people will use voice to raid.
This isn’t “new”. And raiding without voice would be like the awful experience LFR is.
I honestly hate when I get into Normal/Heroic raids that don’t use voice, or guild raids who say “know what to do” and wont let pugs join the voice. No voice = raiding is much more boring too.

People have been anti social long before DIscord. And everyone isnt anti social. Your brush is broad and full of fallacies.
People were antisocial long before Discord was a thing. If anything it allows for easier social communication.
These existed before Discord as well.
Absolutely no shred of evidence of this. Before Discord people had to use other voice programs outside of WoW. No one wants to use ig voice stuff because it doesn’t work half the time. And doesn’t nearly have as many features.
If any of this is going on and I doubt it is, you can report that stuff to Discord.
If you don’t want to use Discord, simply do not. Form your own community, and use what you like.
Discord is voice chat too… Isn’t that… promoting social interaction lol

I like no voice raids and battlegrounds most the time. It means i can crank up my heavy metal while i crack some skulls! Otherwise i have to turn it down and listen to peoples hideous voices, eating chips, yelling at kids, their kids overriding their own voices, and people yelling at their pets, and people who accidently leave their mics open and breathe like darth vader lol.

We used to use Ventrillo back then on early days of WoW.
Now at modern WoW, Ventrillo became obsolete and was replaced by Discord.
We still talk on Dungeons and Raids. Most progression guilds still use Discord. You never seen one becoz you are a noob.
Show me your profile so I wont regard you as a Noob.
Apparently, Discord is the true downfall of WoW according to this guy since Vent and Teamspeak apparently didn’t exist prior to 2015.

Anyone who uses the Discord app outside of a Virtual machine environment doesn’t care about their security/privacy.
Can’t happen and won’t happen unless Blizz leadership wants to spend some time in jail.
