We are great at kiting still. Typhoon also dazes. Melee do have a lot of gap closers but that just means you need to press your cds in more impactful moments. Don’t waste wild charge for instance before a war charges you. Or typhoon him mid charge (I do that a LOT). Between wild charge, typhoon, stamp roar, dash, and roots/travel form I have no issue kiting melee if that’s my intent. The only time I can’t get away from one is a fury with necro banner popped (unless there’s a pillar) and dhs usually. I can still root/clone dhs for distance but they can traverse the map extremely fast. Besides, you don’t always need to kite. It’s ok for a melee to be on you at times.
I can agree with this to some extent. I definitely think the druid tree (not spec trees) could use some work.
On VT, which is casted
No they don’t. UA is casted and that entire spec is nothing but dots. Even their malefic rapture which is like our starsurge to them is casted. Not remotely the same.
Flame shock has a 6s cd. Which is about on par with dispel.
You’re not making fair comparisons.
They don’t though. They tick extremely fast which also procs shooting stars which definitely don’t tickle which proc full moons which definitely don’t tickle. They also proc fae dragons now. All in all our dot game is very strong.
Slight? We were literally tripling people’s damage.
Look, I’m a massive balance druid fan. I’ve been playing druid exclusively since vanilla. I never waver or re roll to anything. I play boomy through thick and thin and always will. If they throw us a bone on stuff I certainly won’t complain. However, more importantly, I also won’t complain if they don’t throw us certain bones, like dispel protection. We simply don’t need or deserve it.
I’m just trying to be pragmatic and honest about the spec. I’ll always take tweaks but we don’t need to be gods.
