Just posting so i can smile when people realize how good boomy is when all the melee monkey brain specs get nerfed and we arenāt perma bear.
Melee nerfed? Not in this season.
This might be the single biggest issue with balance in pvp. The fact that the defensives are so bad makes it really difficult.
Ironically enough. Even bear form is a pretty garbage defensive outside of frenzied regen. At this point if they made frenzied regen available in moonkin form i would actually take bear form off my bars.
The extra 5 to 10% physical damage reduction from the extra bear armor ( cant remember off the top of my head ) feels like absolutly nothing considering how much damage is spell damage from almost all classes now.
Factor that in with your dps goes to nothing and you fall behind on dots. You might as well be popping a defensive for the other team by doing this because you are putting out no pressure either lol.
At least we can kite relatively well into double melee because thats our saving grace right now.

I feel like Iām a Dotkin and not a Boomkin just moon fire and sun fire all over the place hell I feel like Iām an assistant to an affliction lock at times.
I mean, Iāve basically just factored boomy into 2 playstyles right now.
If you play vs double melee, you play starfall spec and just spam star burst.
If you play vs anything not double melee, you never press starfall and just shoot infinite starsurges.
The defensives suck simply because the melee classes are doing magical damage, and things like DHs have Chaos damage, which bypasses armour and spell reduc.
Now ignore the defensive side of things, and suddenly boomy is a top tier spec. Ridiculous utility + damage. Ever since the Barely noticable melee nerfs recently, boomy has been far more playable, especially in soloq. I actually look forward to qing into melees simply due to the fact that their lizard brains canāt comprehend star bursts and just end up killing themselves.
I had a DK pop deathās advance and chase me into a cluster of 5 stars in a shuffle tonight.
He had 35% run speed and was immune to the knock-up, so he every single one of them and died almost instantly.
The stars are pretty obvious, but Iām sure he had no idea what happened.
