I miss having a range dps spec on my druid…
imo. Remove all the little damage talents and spells. Either Remove starfall and put that damage into shooting stars or remove shooting stars. Get rid of Denizens and put that damage into Moonfire and Sunfire. Replace sunfire with Mushroom and increase the damage to compensate. MAKE THE STUPID ECLIPSE BUTTON AND REMOVE THE SCULPT THE STARS TALENT BECUASE THAT WAS LAZY BS FROM THE START. Get rid of 80% of the “has a chance to” talents and just make it a damage, healing, or defense increase.
Hero talents:
Keeper of the grove for balance needs to play off the MoP and WoD balance druid Force of Nature. 3 treants on a 30 sec CD each that would root and cast wrath. Each Treant summoned give dream burst. Early spring talent reduces CD for FoN by 5 seconds each. the rest of the hero talents can stay the same.
This allows for better damage, more control with roots and will create an all around better feel.
Elune’s Chosen. Starsurge becomes full moon after 10 starsurges and hits for 50% incrase damage. Honestly, i hate the elunes chosen side so fix it how ever you want.
Druids use to be the king of control, mobility, true Hybrid while dealing great (not the best damage) ((hybrid tax)) Damage.
Restokin is more fun than playing balance now.

I’ll be glad when they get rid of eclipse completely. Just turn the spec into a builder spender spec. Eclipse has always felt like a half baked idea.
I did favor the empowerment system of BFA over eclipse not that I don’t know how to eclipse I just don’t care for it.
100% agree its over the top, the amount of rng passive junk in this game takes away from the feel of actually pressing buttons
Mop balance was my favourite balance druid… treants with instant root, mushroom aoe slows, HUGE instant star surge hits, huge healing from heart of the wild. back when starsurge was a cast and it would crit for like huge amounts and you can proc instant cast
Probably unpopular opinion, but I think they need to go back to the drawing board on them. Give me more of Malfurion from bfa type of druid. Bring back insect swarm, bring back the mushroom bomb, and summoning treats
I agree, i had a suggestion in another rework forum that they could do something like merging moonfire\sunfire and maybe a proc makes your next moonfire a insect swarm\empowered moonfire.
I also really miss mushroom bomb, although im not a huge fan of pets i think the MOP treants where you just summon them and they root or taunt stuff and you dont have to micro manage them like pets was all good.
I really tried to like it, but I just cant.
I already was not very fond of the eclipse mechanic, but it was not that obnoxious during TWW (so its not that eclipse was so much better, but rather it was not in my way to this extent).
In midnight its a constant annoyance.
blizzard’s radio silence on this spec is frankly insane.
I want eclipse gone and a design that will finally last (preferably one that is not trying to impersonate affliction locks again…).
eclipse is a chore to manage right now and i wish it was off gcd and reduced eclipse cd for every AP you spend but now that i’ve gotten gear, my wishlist for the spec is to reward more coggy load buttons while still giving passive buttons as an option (like how manual shrooms do more damage than sunseeker auto shrooms, or starweaver vs rattle). weaver finally good for the first time since the end of SL because of set bonus while rattle has enjoyed being less coggy load while providing better raw throughput since DF, despite the weaver/rattle combo being one of the best parts of legion (oneth+dreamcatcher on ST fights).
I think the free damage as our final apex talent is kinda lame mechanically and just okay tuningwise, and instead it should give us CD reduction on convoke (maybe 45 sec down to 30sec with control of the dream, to be like SL during DF prepatch) or make Incarn last 30 seconds (simulating an arcanic pulsar extension) depending on what we picked earlier in the tree. Or let our final apex talent give us whichever option we didn’t choose on the rattle/weaver choice node so that we get legion boomkin back.
I don’t really enjoy playing EC but maybe more defensive options in EC like how KotG gets 8% dmg reduc on self regrowth. I think EC should also get access to triple moonfire as part of the hero tree (like during BFA timewalking when you could equip LatC while talented into twin moons, made dot cleaving nice without it being full auto cleave like sunfire). right now KotG has an easier time spreading moonfires in aoe situations because FoN does it for you.
Solar Beam needs to be 45sec base cd with improved solar beam to 30 sec, or give us skullbash back again, so that the option for a dedicated short cd kick is traded off against the amount of GCDs required to use it (it’s still like 2gcds even with fluid form plus the risk of getting cleaved in melee). DF through TWW S1 having the option for both was good because it was a meaningful decision for more utility vs whatever else you were going to take for survivability. one of my guildies even said “i don’t like taking moonkins in my keys because you can’t rely on solarbeam.”
but towards the end of midnight S1, i’d love just an aura buff since we’ve been bottom of the charts for mythic stats dps for the last 4 weeks.
