I’m not going to lie, this really is disheartening to see these strong heavy handed nerfs to balance druid. I don’t even know what to say. I’m legit sad about seeing the changes on wowhead.
Like, I get they were strong but why should they be absolutely destroyed for it? This is going to land them near the bottom of DPS
Also I am sad beastmastery hunter got nothing. Like… why not give one of the worst DPS specs in the game something?
9.1 looks like I literally will not be returning. I don’t really enjoy any other DPS specs than these two and this is just… brutal…
I really wish all DPS were on an even playing field. This just simply isn’t fun to play something that is actively worse than other specs.
I am really hoping there will be some hunter changes in a later build? I get blizzard is pretty incompetent, but nothing at all is even beyond them I think.
Boomie is still going to be an absolute beast.
I feel like the people screaming murder about Boomie’s nerfs are actually Boomie mains trying to make people think they’re getting the nerfs they deserve.
I can only hope these changes are taken out of context with more changes that we don’t know about yet. Maybe everyone’s getting nerfs?
There is no exaggeration if these changes go live as is, moonkin will do less damage than tanks. They’ve gutted the central supports of the spec. It would be equivalent to nerfing pally wings or combust.
Statistics don’t like Balance does 17% more dps then the lower tier dps classes. And they are 9% better then middle of the pack dps.
This is not balanced at all and greatly unfair to people who play stuff that isn’t balance. And it takes very low effort to play the class as well to get the kinds of high dps numbers in raids. They can be beating out other classes with less gear due to how OP they are.
Yes, but there is a difference between a nerf and an absolute mutilation.
The covenant ability nerfs, the starfall nerfs, the legendary nerfs. There isn’t going to be much left. These aren’t even minor nerfs on their own, together it’s crippling.
TBH the only thing which really sucks is the nerf to Stellar Drift. Not being able to maintain 100% uptime on it is going to make it significantly worse.
The new legendary for balance seems to make up for the BOAT nerf. And if it doesn’t, Pulsar wasn’t super far behind anyway and scales significantly better and doesn’t cripple our scaling like BOAT does.
Warlocks got hit significantly harder. 18% to Rupture and the best Conduit got nerfed by 53% and Shadow Embrace is ST only. That’s a lotta damage.
And in either case, taking the very first iterations of balance changes as the cold hard truth of what will happen when 9.1 rolls around is a good way to make yourself look silly.
Perhaps you should go back to Final Fantasy again and stay away from this game. You already hate the upcoming patch. You currently hate the game. Do not start this drama again.
Maybe I’m okay with the nerf because I totally invested my anima into crafting pulsar without checking whether or not it was meta. So the idea of it becoming the meta validates my choice in retrospect
Pulsar is technically better at higher levels of content where stuff dies slower, but the gap is minimal and it requires far more thinking than BOAT, so BOAT became the default.
